    yesss! finish that froggy! :) Those are the reason I taught myself how to knit! I've made and sold so many of them, people really love them. I even made a bride and groom froggy for at our wedding in September 🥰

    Oh the spring mittens are so beautiful! What about keeping the cuffs and just continue with plain hands, perhaps with yarn held double? Beautiful present if you do not want them yourself 😊

      Ahhh too late, they have been frogged ! But that could have been a good idea !!

    I really enjoyed your video. Thank you. I am not a garment knitter- I have learnt that I like a quick task! I admire all of your lovely makes. 😊

      Thank you! And that's fair, I do like a quick project as well but then I don't want to end up with a million! So I enjoy taking my time on longer things sometimes !

    Those orange and aqua mittens would be spectacular. Maybe do a hat or something in the yarn?

    Glad you decided to continue with mosaic crochet backpack. I started a project doing a Le Pouf cardigan with gradient pink yarn from Alison & Mae I was regreting choosing the pink but now I've almost finnished the body and I really like how the cardigan looks it reminds me of a pack of fruit mentos. Good luck with the frog.

    I love all your wips BTW. The scarf you’re making is way more beautiful than it would be the sophy one… Just saying…

      thank you! It was difficult but i dont regret it, i feel lighter ! And thanks for the reassurance !! I might try and do a few repeats on sharper needles to see if it is smoother to work on. Glad you enjoyed the episode!

    I've made the Nutmeg socks! I also found the stitch pattern to be a bit fiddly, but it really helped to knit loosely to help with that k3tog tightness.

      Good tip ! I was thinking maybe not doing it on the foot, and just have the decorative cuff and leg? Will see !

    Great video, Vanissia, as always! I have many hibernating WIPs as well, and I'm relieved to hear that I'm not the only one! The one, of yours, that I'm most excited to see is the Cargill in that gorgeous light blue yarn - oh my gosh - it will be stunning and match your eyes beautifully! Hurry, hurry! 😊

    Thank you, Vennesia. I love the colours you go for. Knit what makes you happy but perhaps knit the cardigan and your boyfriend's socks and you can rewards yourself with a new cast on ❤

      @thewoollyworker  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've picked up the cardigan and sadly the sleeves cannot be done on my small circ, so i will do magic loop but i won't let that stop me ! Now that the yarn is joined back, I have more motivation! And my boyfriend tried the sock on and he likes the fit!

    Great Video!! If you end up keeping the Croft I think pairing it with a fluffy yarn in a "non-matched" colour could make it look amazing. Maybe a slightly lighter dusty blue? Bigger gauge for more drape and faster results 😜

    For your one skein of yak/silk I highly recommend the Venezia Shawl by Joji Locatelli - a sweet knit. I enjoyed this episode and love the sweater you are wearing.

    • @thewoollyworker

    Hi Vanissia,what a stunning collection of WIPS! I think you are making good decisions about what to finish and what to frog. You seem to be the most excited when talking about finishing the sweaters and the little crocheted frog, so I will be eager to see which of your WIPS are finished first! As I watch your video I am knitting on my very first Ranunculus, using Wooly Knit Yarn2Cone merino held double. Thank you so much for that coupon code, I just love working with this yarn!

    • @thewoollyworker
      @thewoollyworker  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!! And yes, the frog will probably make an appearance in the next podcast episode ... and that's fantastic, glad you took advantage of the offer ! I love being able to hold it double and make a whole sweater from it, feels very economical

      Thank you, that's so sweet !! It was more effort than i thought to put it in at the end and i wasn't even sure it was worth it, but the fact you specifically commented on that made it all worth it !!

    My biggest unfinished wip is the EXP sweater by Susanna Kaartinen . It's also in half fisherman's rib, and it's in fingering weight (!) so boy, is it a labour of love. Fisherman rib grows so slowly especially in fingering weight yarn. But I don't mind because I love it so much, and I only have a sleeve and a half left. I made it out of yarn that I kind of regretted buying because I don't typically wear those colours, but it was just the absolute perfect pattern for it, and now love the yarn and the sweater. It's so beautifully squishy and drapey, and the pattern is amazingly written, I'm definitely making another one in more 'me' colours. The only reason I havent finished it is because I was going through some life stuff that forced me to put it down, and that was unfortunately at a point in the pattern that was less fun. It's now kind of a chore to get back into, but i'm thinking i'll just set aside some time to push through to easier parts in the pattern.

    Love the colours of your spring mittens! I want a whole sweater with those colours!😅 I also wander if you have a tip to do a nice and tight button band- the one on your cardigan looks super neat. I have made two so far and they just are not tight enough and the buttons pull them which annoys me. Thanks!

    • @thewoollyworker
      @thewoollyworker  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awww thank you!! I was not feeling the greatest about this rib to be honest aha, we are our own worst critics. I think I usually go down a couple needle sizes, so usually smaller than what the designer recommends ! And for this paritcular buttonholes, i followed a suzanne bryan video to make them over 2 rows, i think i linked it in my project. But yeah, usually just use very small needles !

    Hi there! For the moon set tee sleeves, do you use magic loop or use smaller circulars? I’m doing magic loop for my cumulus tee and I have this annoying rip - like situation where the needle splits . I’m using Sandnes garn tynn line and it’s so unforgiving !

    • @thewoollyworker
      @thewoollyworker  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Magic loop for these, and that is annoying ! I think because of my yarn (merino is in it), the elasticity helped even out the tension and can fall into place more. I guess that risk comes with summery fibers sadly!

    • @PreetisFinds
      @PreetisFinds ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thewoollyworker thanks so much! Yes merino is always so much more forgiving than other fibres like line! Noted for the next cumulus tee!

    How about the new Solo scarf by Caidree for the yarn you have for the Augusta? The pattern was written in Aran weight but states that you can adapt to other weight yarns.
