I bought a house with established blueberries already fenced in with 3 foot high chicken wire. I put bird netting over the top and let it rest on the bushes. No birds stuck in it so far. I appreciate the tips on fertilizing and pruning so I can keep them growing well. I plan to start raspberries in the spring too. I love having my own fruit to pick and eat!
I would love a detailed video on blueberries!! I have 3 blueberry bushes so far and one doesn't fruit very well..... I will do everything that u suggested on this video, ty so much!!!!
I do not have a falcon. Although I always thought that would be a cool thing to do. Falconry I mean. I would enjoy any videos that you would like to make about blueberries and or huckleberries. Thank you for your video. God bless you and your family. Duane
hi newby here. I bought a home on 2 acres in zone 7B. Tennessee. on the property were 5 / 6 blueberry bushes. the first year I got a ton of edibles and since poor produce and a couple look just dead. SOOO I decided to get new plants. the old ones are actually in a place I would not want them. so new plants came in and were already potted so I transplanted to 1 gal pots and have just moved them to 3 1/2 gal pots hoping that come spring to get them into a new raised bed. I have not pruned them so Im looking for advice on NEW plant care. they are 6 months old and have not seen a frost. was thinking to put in greenhouse with my new raspberry plants. all to winter out and time to prepare raised beds to accommodate. also. right next to the old blueberry plants there is a Mulberry tree. BIRDS love mulberries but I can not put netting over top a tree that's 18 feet tall. maybe starting new mulberry BUSHES not trees... I already have strawberries and on side of greenhouse elderberries about 5' tall have not produced. blackberry and grape also way too young to produce. AND I did potatoes in a raised bed. did them last year in 35 gal trash cans and OMG the bushes took over half of the greenhouse. but produced little. we shall see how they work out, so there is what I have what I know and what I need help with.. just asking about blueberry and raspberry right now. I do not have falcons but I do have OWLS big ones.
It’s the same! I would just make sure to test the soil beforehand for acidity. It’s very likely the soil is acid already, in which case you’ll want to use a balanced fertilizer like a 4-4-4, 7-7-7 or a 10-10-10.
How do you guys keep birds away? And most importantly, DO YOU HAVE A FALCON??!!? 🦅🦅🦅

What about the fertilizer schedule for blueberries in containers. Is it different than in ground plants?
