I have thought I was good because a few days ago I could finally do HOLLAND in HARD with Roadkill without losing a life... from a savestate. This run made me depressed. Do you have any advice to increase the probabilities of not failing special manipulations? Sometimes I try to do 4 freezes in a row and they all fail.
Allow the controls to reset and press them slower. Apparently the action commands are somewhat dependent on framerate. Sometimes completely letting go of the direction pad for half a second does the trick without leaving you too vulnerable. Sometimes you're just at the mercy of this game. It took me a few hours of attempts for this Roadkill run.
It's wonky at times, but it's best to freeze an opponent and drive near them at an angle, shoot it, then back up behind them when it comes back to you.
@@mr.bp-dcbg Nah. Fire the special, when its returning to you, boost past it. It'll go past you and try and return from behind. Dodge that and it'll circle you, acting as an offensive shield, dealing massive damage if anyone come close.
@@dab5141 For a speedrun that doesn't seem like a faster method, than just outright killing them so I prefer the strategies I used in my video, plus if I want a shield I'll just input the command.
When you're inputing the command for a combo like jump or freeze do not release or press either acceleration or machine gun. If you're holding either of those, then keep holding untill you finish the command. Test it.
Action commands are tied to the framerate so if it dips sometimes they won't activate. In most cases they activate for me, but sometimes this game really wants the player dead.
I have been suspicious about your videos from day one ever since I heard a different soundtrack on some levels. I mean you not only beat it with everybody on hard mode, but you did it without dying and with world record breaking times for every character in a matter of 2 months. Something that should take years due to how brutal the ai is. I am not saying you are cheating, but I am having trouble buying this as a hardcore TM 2 veteran. From what I have noticed it looks like your attacks are doing way more damage than they normally would. Either you are the Twisted Metal 2 Jesus or you are cheating somehow with mods.
You have spammed this on at least 4 videos of mine which is completely unnecessary. The only video that had an alternate soundtrack was the first upload with Twister because I didn't understand how to emulate the music, and used VideoPad Video editor to put the music in. I literally didn't do anything else after work, but grind the hell out of this game, and because it's mechanically easy compared to some other games I've done "competitively" (TF2, Classic DOOM, F-Zero GX) with very few people even running it. It wasn't easy by any stretch of imagination, and I lost a lot of sanity doing it. The PC Port is the only way to mod this game, and I have no coding/software experience to even come up with a mod for this game. Outside of Thumper, Warthog, Spectre, Minion, and Axel the average amount of attempts for each vehicle deathless was around 80-100.
@@mr.bp-dcbg If you did this legit without save states or anything then take this as a compliment. What you did was so extraordinary and miraculous that it is just very hard to believe. I said that you either cheated somehow or you are the TM 2 Jesus. Perhaps you are the TM 2 Jesus. I dunno.

Roadkill is the most frustrating character. His boomerang is hard to get the hang of.

I think Roadkill is my least played character. I always thought his special just sucked. I might have been using it wrong though.

Bro could you do a run where you destroy all monuments please? Love the uploads and how frustrated you get 😂
Yeah. I have to finish up with Twister first which could take some time.
Legend! Cause I can’t find a video on YT that has all monuments and I know I’m forgetting some
Doesn't sound like you had much luck with roadkill sense you said work was better lol
WHAT'S WRONG BRO' IT'S MY FAVORITE OLD GAME?!
I'm not sure what this is in reference to?
