Couldn't agree more with this! We have a 2 y/o Dobie and he makes us look like IPO trainers lol! I'll never forget my brother being so terrified of bringing his kids around him and after a minute they were cuddled up on the couch with him! So glad to have found this channel, great work!
I love dobermans, unfortunately I can't afford to take one right now since I live with 8 people and other two young dogs already... But as soon as I can I'd love to have one
Spot on description Will. They truly are Velcro dogs. Mine can't ever be close enough to me. And does quiet right down in the house, something my Boxers never mastered.
@@zerogtoxik6020 I think it is their intelligence that sets them aside. It is almost scary sometimes how smart he is. Not that my Boxers were dumb, and I still love that breed as well. Dobies just get right in there and read a situation more in depth. IMO
The biggest heartbreak of my life is losing my beautiful dobie Jax to DCM. It came out of nowhere and took him in just a couple days. He was a gentle giant at 79 cm tall. The biggest dobie I’ve ever known.
Can Dobbies be a first time dog for someone who has done their homework, knows a lot about dogs and has the time and will to raise the dog responsibly??
Definitely!!! My male Doberman is amazing!! He’s my first dog! But please note you *MUST* put in an incredibly high amount of work as in mental stimulation, physical training and socialisation. I don’t want to ruin your first experience, so I’ll just say it’s quite hard sometimes. But if you truly are what you say... You’d be great with a Doberman!!
yes, they can be. The 1st dog I ever owned was a Doberman, she was an absolute joy, smart, loving, I could not have asked for anything more. Given attention, training, patience and love, minimum 1 hour of physical exercise, some mental stimulation each day (obedience training can be considered in this) and some toys that will also stimulate the brain, and some just for pure doggie pleasure, and you will have the most wonderful, affectionate and loyal dog, who will never want to leave your side.
Go for it, I did I got a working line 7 years ago. It was alot to figure out at first it was like baptism by fire, but once I got it down that dog now is one hell of a personal protection dog, and has gone through the training. He also done it in real life and saved my ass a couple times, but he is a very hot tempered dog with strangers weather they're a threat or not.
I hope to see one day Sully teaching us something and Will sleeping on the couch like Sully does in this video. Great job Will, a tired dog is happy dog. Thanks for all your time
We've got a Doberman, a Choc Lab and a Jack Russell (all rescues, but that's our choice of course). I can not argue with anything you've said about any of those breeds. Only recently found your channel, and man, am I impressed. Awesome work.
Great Video. You and your channel do a great job in highlighting the amazing qualities of these dogs. I look forward to getting a dog that can be used as a service dog and I think the Doberman would be a fantastic breed. Thank you.
Finally somebody who understands me yess Dobermans may be known to be mad but not all dobermans are the same some are actually good boys who know what there I myself personally want a doberman thank you so much you earned a sub 👍👍👍👍
Awesome video with a plethora of information. I truly enjoy all of your videos and have learned a lot from them. I recently adopted a rescue dog that is a Doberman/Pit Bull mix. His name is Spurgeon and has fit right in with our family and definitely has some of these characteristics. A velcro dog indeed and extremely intelligent. The plan is for him to become a service dog for me. Looking forward to many more videos. Thanks again and God bless.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! It's great to hear you're enjoying our videos, without people like you watching it would be pointless in us making these videos. Hope everything if going well in getting Spurgeon settled and training him to be a service dog 👍🏼
There is a female Doberman at the rescue with natural ears, and tail, they say is a real sweet heart. Too bad my situation is just not good enough for a dog yet.
I know I’m late but I’m trying to convince my mom to get me a Doberman and I don’t like to workout by myself so that’s why I want one too but she also thinks Dobermans are bad dogs because she used to have one before I was born but she never trained it so she doesn’t trust them no more
I’m getting a doberman/ husky mix. Any thoughts on this mix? I’m not too familiar with husky dogs... I’m in Alaska so huskies are common here! 😀 Thanks so much! Love your videos!
Hello, I have a 16 month old male Dobie, that I love, he is a great dog and we spend all day every day together. I’m thinking about getting a puppy female to add to the mix. I’m concerned that it may mess up things with my male, relationship wise. What do you think, will he be jealous or will the new dog fit in. Thanks for any insight you can give.
Great videos! I will be getting my 1st Doberman in a few months but am concerned about socialisation/training as he will be 16 weeks old already. Would you say this is too late to counter any poor socialisation or lack of training as I have heard that the 16 week period is the 'window' period? Thanks
It's definitely unfortunate to miss out on those first weeks, make sure the breeder is including some form of socialisation and be sure to get started as soon as you receive your pup
We've had three Dobes, all rescues. Best dogs ever. But then again everybody says their dog is the best no matter what the breed, and they're all correct ! Get another Dobe dude !

I think the only bad thing about dobbies their high risk of developing dilated cardiac myopathy aka DCM. Anyone who gets a dobbie should get it genetically tested in order to see what they are prone to develop medically.

I wonder if doberman that I will take to training classes from puppy hood will be OK for me as I am a pensioner and 4'10" but had a bitch a number of yrs ago who was great but not with my husband. I now live on my own and need and want a companion who will also protect me. Carole

You do Doberman videos too?! Bruh, you’re a legend. I’m here from your boxer videos.
Spot on description Will. They truly are Velcro dogs. Mine can't ever be close enough to me. And does quiet right down in the house, something my Boxers never mastered.
I’m sure you’d have found that they’re also more capable of understanding and more intelligent than boxers. They’re beautiful.

My Dobie seems to LOVE peeing indoors on the cold ceramic floor, although he is comitted to pooping outside. How do I get him NOT to pee indoors? 🙃

If you don't mind me asking where is there restrictions of dobee? Just curious
