I saw Orion open for Aerosmith..I just wanted to see OTH. The were fucking PERFECT!! Another concert though where most ppl wanted to see the headliner..I couldn’t have cared less. Rock on Fran and Barry 🙏🏻Brad😇
😳😯😲I'm blown away by this performance and this song. The vocals, wow. Barry's playing, delicious. His solos are like a guitar telling a story, as though it's speaking with emotion in its tone. Did I mention her vocals? Just wow.
At the end of the chorus, the song has a clear Boston touch to it, but that's okay. I like the whole band's performance, but Barry's solos are so well composed, fluent, but without any unnecessary fretboard wanking. I only discovered Barry Goudreau's Engine Room now, but will look for more here on TH-cam.
I have seen these guys in concert 5 times, met the band each time. Incredible group of people. Now I am a regular at their shows when they come around my area.

The singer Mary Beth Maes is married to the keyboardist Brian Maes who is the keyboardist in the band and who was also the keyboardist in Barry's and Brad Delp's band RTZ (Return to Zero) I believe Tim Archibald is the bassist in the video and he was the bassist for RTZ as well. I saw RTZ 3 times when their CD/ALBUM/CASSETTE came out in 1991. All the guys in the band were very cool and awesome to hang out and talk to after the shows.

I saw the again a couple years ago but don’t remember any Orion songs. I just read that about the Face the Music demo but I haven’t heard it. Well, I certainly was NOT disappointed. They played everything from their new CD. And of course the staples. THEN we saw Barry, Skunk Baxter, Tim Archibald, Mousey Thompson et al at The Flying Monkey under the name of the American Vinyl All-Star Band, and W O W. Great show.
Looks like he's playing with a wedding cover band. : ( Sad. 'Boston' Story and karma is so sad, and this is where it wound up for such a great guy/musician. Barry looked the happiest playing with RTZ and Brad par none. There was magic there that transcended beyond the music. So apparent. And they played Boston songs live - better than Boston.

STOPPED following when Tom started to think he was more than he actually was and turned to Barry on the release of his first solo. Never looked back. Saw "Boston" a few years back and such a disappointment. Walked out mid-concert. Only Tom left from the originals now and the songs they release are so far from Boston's theme, they should change their name! R.I.P. Brad and Sibby. I want V.I.P.'s for my first concert when I get up there!

A mess. Song should be a faster tempo. Sounds like the band needs to rehearse a bit more. Singer is really good. Barry started into his solo a bit too early.
Nicholas Osthelder Barry started the sooo right on the beat, she just sang over it a bit. As far as tempo, it is a live show, don’t play to a metronome like a studio recording. Sometimes fast and sometimes slower I’m sure, doesn’t matter, great guitar sound and song. I left my metronome at home and forgive them for not timing to the album. Matter of fact, I was there and loved it.
