Lyrics: It's Finished There's a line that's been drawn thru the ages On that line stands the old rugged cross On that cross a battle is raging For the gain of man's soul or it's loss On one side march the forces of evil All the demons all the devils of hell On the other the angels of glory And they meet on Golgotha's hill The earth shakes with the force of the conflict And the sun refuses to shine For there hangs God's Son in the balance And then thru the darkness He cries It is finished, the battle is over It is finished, there'll be no more war It is finished, the end of the conflict It is finished and Jesus is Lord In my heart there are battles still raging Not all prisoners of war had come home There were battlefields of my own making I didn't know that the war had been won Then I heard that The King of the ages Had fought all the battles for me And that victory was mine for the claiming And now praise His Name I am free It is finished, the battle is over It is finished, there'll be no more war It is finished, the end of the conflict It is finished and Jesus is Lord It is finished and Jesus is Lord Jesus is Lord
The Koiné Greek word τετελιστει (tetelistei) literally means "is completed" and it is used exclusively for writing across a bill of debt that has been fully paid or a prison warrant that has been fully served. When Jesus used this word (the only Greek word He uttered on the cross) He was referring to the debt of our sin paid in full by His death. Yes, I know your Bible says He said, Eloy, Eloy lama sabacthani/Ελωι, Ελωι λιμάνι σαβαχθανι?" But that is just the Greek transliteration of the Galilean Aramaic phrase that He spoke, which was, "Most High, Most High, why abandon [me]?" But is incorrectly translated to English as, "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?" - Yeah I know - I'm pedantic... LOL. I loved the song too, by the way, thank you all concerned.
Why are Women sacrificing their dress to the glory of God and the men are not honoring God in their dress double standards here so sad music sounds beautiful
It is all about modesty and wearing what pertains to a man/woman. The women are not sacrificing their dress.... they are just being obedient and not wearing that which pertains to a man. The men are to dress modest as well. It is a form of simplicity as well... to not be as the world is. Hope this helps your understanding.
Praise God!!! What a beautiful song. Beautiful harmony.

Lyrics:
It's Finished
There's a line that's been drawn thru the ages
On that line stands the old rugged cross
On that cross a battle is raging
For the gain of man's soul or it's loss
On one side march the forces of evil
All the demons all the devils of hell
On the other the angels of glory
And they meet on Golgotha's hill
The earth shakes with the force of the conflict
And the sun refuses to shine
For there hangs God's Son in the balance
And then thru the darkness He cries
It is finished, the battle is over
It is finished, there'll be no more war
It is finished, the end of the conflict
It is finished and Jesus is Lord
In my heart there are battles still raging
Not all prisoners of war had come home
There were battlefields of my own making
I didn't know that the war had been won
Then I heard that The King of the ages
Had fought all the battles for me
And that victory was mine for the claiming
And now praise His Name I am free
It is finished, the battle is over
It is finished, there'll be no more war
It is finished, the end of the conflict
It is finished and Jesus is Lord
It is finished and Jesus is Lord
Jesus is Lord
God bless you all. Thank you so much
Job well done

Could you please elaborate on your wording. 'Men not honoring God', and 'double standards'.
