John Starnes is going strong for Jesus. He is a real Godly man. Way back in the nineties he was at our church in Modesto California. I was one of the head ushers there during that time. I met and talked with John. I loved his dedication to the Lord Jesus. He is led by the Holy Spirit when he sings. He allows the Lord to lead him even in the song choices and what a privilege it was to hear him sing. He is still singing today on Feb of 2022. God has his hand and John is shining for the Lord today.
I Google his name and found an older John Starnes who had lost a son and the he died in 2018 if I remember correctly. John Starnes fro SBN, who later sang with Gaither's groups, was born in 1950. He is alive, a real estate agent, and works in prison ministries according to what I found on Google. I had to search. He's alive and still witnessing! Praise God! No sons, just daughters.

My mother passed away on December 20th of 2020,and all that filled my mind and heart was her love for mr. Starnes singing and it was this song and Jerusalem that led me to my Father and Lord JESUS CHRIST! THANK YOU SIR!
My dad passed in Nov 2010 & he loved the singing ministry of John starnes as well; I love his singing too along with Janet Pascual and the preaching, singing & piano playing of Jimmy swaggart & the preaching of Donnie swaggart & his son Gabe ✝️
God bless you.. my mother also passed mar. Of 2020. Right when they were beginning locking down . She was in assisted living , 97 yrs. The Lord took her home at perfect timing. I would have fought to still go see her, and do my part of assisting her last days. I was able to rejoice at His timing.😢🙏🙏🙏
