Brendan is a wonderful guest, he brings a lot of energy, shares what is new with him, and best of all, it is a dialogue. Some other guests hog the conversation, which is not what i like to watch.
I have a steel 2k and have been through a few nibs and must say they are really inconsistant, both in size and feel. Some have a really precise sweet spot that are rather annoying and some are diffuse and less annoying. I would reccomend the Makrolon version over the metal though, the metal is so heavy that any drops ruin the nibs

I actually LOVE the design and engineering of the Lamy 2000. I do not like the nibs it comes with. I very much prefer the 14k nibs that come on all other Lamy pens. I had both my L2k nibs reground by nibmeisters so now I love them!
I don’t know what kind of nib you have in that Lamy 2000 but I have an oblique medium if you might be interested exchanging nibs. I’ll send you my oblique medium for whatever you have in yours. we can just exchange nibs if you’d be interested, not the whole pen or anything like that. Lovely nib wonderful variation in line width, just a little too wide for my work paperwork. I believe you to be honest and trustworthy, so I will even send mine out first if you might be interested in doing that and you can wait for it to arrive before you send one back just so you can see I’m trustworthy as well
I am extremely intrigued and interested in the models they might be getting from Pelikan... Did he say there would be multiple, but only named the Blue Swirl M800? there is one pen that i wish I could of gotten that I missed out on. It was made in an M400 and M800 at one point for short periods. if it's one of those I'd flip and buy instantly lol Great live as always Hemingway!
Yes! I believe we have a couple past special editions coming in each size! We will try and add them to our site and give everyone notice before officially ‘launching’ them!
The Lamy 2K just isn’t my style; not a criticism, just not interested. The most common competitor for the 2K seems (to me at least), is the pilot vanishing point, and even though I love Pilot pens the VP has issues for me. So given the quirkiness of the VP and the 2K, I’ve gifted the Faber-Castell E-Motion Stealth to a couple of relatives as graduation gifts. It’s quick to cap and uncap as well as easy to maintain for someone with no experience in fountain pens.
