Even for an independent game, he should be proud to do a game soundtrack. To the moon for this artist, they literally have no limits. And they should be bigger way sooner. Modern day music is unoriginal bops that just cross pollinate, with artist who hardly write their own lyrics and make all the instruments and sound, if there even is an instrument, blend together. It's trash. Independent artists are the future of music as an art anymore.

I just finished the game and I was not expecting Desmond's song to be this intense, I was like "this lil nerd boi's greatest trauma is he unknowingly let his cat eat a flower that killed her, his song will probably be soft and melancholic" and then this banger turned on and blew my assumptions away, it's sweet how much he cared about everyone that he harbors so much guilt over their fates
U can tell he suffered the most from what agent rainbow told him but indeed i thought this was gonna be a classical or smthn but it was def surprising and awesome my favorite one is still me & the boys
@@fukaze2021 Plus this paranoia and desperation to keep others safe ended up pushing his girlfriend away further isolating him from others. Plus some of what Rainbow said in the Allen tape kinda implied Desmond has resentment towards his family and might have been forced into his career choice.
It seems like not everyone really likes this song, but god, I love this so much. I really love the way it builds up and I like slow songs, I love how it gives off the same vibe as Chosen (one of my all time favorite TLT songs) Just beautiful and the piano is an amazing touch, all of the instruments work together so well.

A small detail I noticed ( starting 2:52 ) Compared to the AMV variant-which sounds much more unhinged and sure of itself, while simultaneously using the “Yellow Suit” man’s voice-this sounds much more cautious and tentative about the idea of “cutting loose.” Maybe even a little scared? Sorry? It’s a cool detail, really hope it plays into the lore

(Spoilers ahead sort of) I reckon it's actually sung from Desmond's pov because as you see Desmond's 'guilty conscious' or Agent Rainbow singing it at the end and because that is a part of him, I would reckon that his bad side is singing it almost mockingly of how patients put so much faith in him and he feels as though he failed them. Implying again that that part of him is putting him down by singing that part of the song. Just a theory.

Pretty big chance its desmonds for the reasons already pointed out, i will mention tho that theres a bit thats played in a deeper tone which is certainly agent rainbows voice(cuz the similarity and the fact you actually see agent rainbow sing that bit in the game), which ofc is desmonds worse half which implies that the rest would be desmond aswell

This song has been running in my mind for a week now and it's just so haunting yet beautifuly ethereal, like it's something out of this world, out of this reality, a song that I feel like it's touching the strings deep inside my mind. I don't know how to explain it. This is just amazing man. So so much.

The music in this game reminds me of Silent Hill. More horror games need to have standalone vocal soundtrack as it's also the identity of the game itself. Btw, I did not expect the protagonist voice actor is also a singer and because of that you can see this song also act as the protagonist's theme.

I absolutely love this song n it fits with the game so much. The sound is just so distinct and something I never heard before. It just scratches my brain the right way. The soundtrack for in sound mind is so beautiful n awesome. Such a great song, the tempo also fits, the game isn't meant to be fast, more slow n serious in a way, like basically descending into madness like how the game was. Very very good song

the only stuff i can connect with death is the how he likes the warm of the fire. thats pretty much it and only one character in the game seems to want him dead
That slower part near the end chorus does talk about how he found a good excuse to cut loose. The way he says it makes me think he might be having suicidal thoughts going through all this

(I've never played the game so that might be explained there). But yeah like it explains the parts where he says "No more bad behavior" and "My legs seem to move without me". He hates his own mind and wants his own self-destruction. The "lethal case of deja-vu" could possibly mean that it's a PTSD induced condition, but I'm not quite sure.
@@3G22-Alien in the game you wake up in an unknow world that seems to be your town but in more of apocalypse, the character you play as is an doctor whos been trying to help others peoples mental issues but so far it seems like most of the cases werent successful. In the world you collect tapes from your past patients and try to help the patient still in some way. There is also this character only communicating though phones and notes and it seems like he wants you to died like i said earlier in my last comment

This honestly just makes Mick being replaced in Hazbin Hotel hurt even more. His singing and regular VA voice is way better for the role than the new guy
I'm in a tough spot because I love both of the voice actors, Mick Lauer is a really good voice actor and his few roles in in-person-acting are good too, but Keith David is a far more seasonal actor and voice actor, and his singing voice fits with Husks more Jazzy style. Coming from a person who likes them both, It makes sense they changed the voice actor, and I find it insane how they both voice the same character.
This game really elicited some deep emotional responses from me, the kind that games essentially _never_ evoke, and your music enhanced those aspects so powerfully, I was genuinely near to crying when listening to this track on particular. Such a phenomenal game - it reminded me why I enjoy gaming so much and I felt my passion for the medium being steadily reawoken as I played (in conjunction with "Ghostwire: Tokyo", "Weird West", "Pentiment" and "Wildmender" which I played at the same time - I like to have a bunch of diverse games on the go just in case I get bored of one 😅), which really means a lot to me because quite frankly at this point in my life I've got nothing else, and hell they keep my dreams alive! Thank you SO much! 💙
This song paired with the actual game is so intense knowing what every word is referring to. Dare I say this game is as powerful as silent hill 2 in how it handles mental health and depression and overcoming it. Either way it is an amazing game and song and it will always be in my heart. This is an absolute gem of a product.
the instrumental on this is absolutely beautiful, i felt it in my bones, the vocals are nice but i’d love to hear the instrumentals alone. i didn’t know you guys did rock like songs, everywhere i read about the band its all electronic & upbeat stuff, this is really impressive as well the goosebumps from intensity is rare for me to get, would love to hear more like this
I love how these guys who started out making (admittedly amazing) songs for anything that was popular were able to branch out into making original music. Every one of these is so darn good, the talent and hard work is obvious. They could have gotten away with just churning out low effort songs for money and coasted on that, but instead they put 100% into everything they make and are getting to create non-fandom passion project type songs as well. Heck yeah.

Such a phenomenal game - it reminded me why I enjoy gaming so much and I felt my passion for the medium being steadily reawoken as I played (in conjunction with "Ghostwire: Tokyo", "Weird West", "Pentiment" and "Wildmender" which I played at the same time - I like to have a bunch of diverse games on the go just in case I get bored of one 😅), which really means a lot to me because quite frankly at this point in my life I've got nothing else, and hell they keep my dreams alive! Thank you SO much! 💙

Dare I say this game is as powerful as silent hill 2 in how it handles mental health and depression and overcoming it.
Either way it is an amazing game and song and it will always be in my heart. This is an absolute gem of a product.
the instrumental on this is absolutely beautiful, i felt it in my bones, the vocals are nice but i’d love to hear the instrumentals alone. i didn’t know you guys did rock like songs, everywhere i read about the band its all electronic & upbeat stuff, this is really impressive as well the goosebumps from intensity is rare for me to get, would love to hear more like this

I love how these guys who started out making (admittedly amazing) songs for anything that was popular were able to branch out into making original music. Every one of these is so darn good, the talent and hard work is obvious. They could have gotten away with just churning out low effort songs for money and coasted on that, but instead they put 100% into everything they make and are getting to create non-fandom passion project type songs as well. Heck yeah.
