Ya I just passed mine a couple weeks ago. I failed my first attempt because of my nerves. I was fully prepared but failed because I got to nervous. If I could give you some advice just really take your time and think. They dont rush you. Act like you're driving with your buddy haha

Hey CHEZ! Been binge watching all your videos. I'm 19 and have contemplated the idea of getting a cdl for a couple years now. After seeing your channel I know now that I need to take the leap and go to the cdl school an hour away from me. If I sign on with them for 2 or 3 years they'll pay the schooling, which is great since I live all the way up in Northern Wisconsin. I love learning stuff from your vids and I just wanna say thank you for inspiring me! Keep the videos coming man!

I’m so glad you brought up the subject of loneliness, the best cure for that, is get a dog. It is truly rewarding it will change your entire job and make it more enjoyable. My dog comes with me on every load. If you do decide to get one, get it from a local pound, or the Humane Society, and have them choose the dog for you just like I did. Tell them what the dog is for, Tell them that it’s going to be in your cab most of the time, and I promise you they will choose the right dog but make sure you ask a veterinarian at whatever establishment you’re going to they always have an on site vet.

Damn son, me and you got the same goal, I am already working on my pilot license, and now going to get my CDL. Feel kinda bad leaving my tech job but well... That was the wrong way despite my family don't want to believe that.
Did trucking use to pay terribly back then or was it just people working with the wrong companies? Like back in recession days
oh wow thats great to hear man!😁 & low pays are still happening today, usually big mega carriers really dont pay what drivers deserve to be paid, small companies are the way to go

About the speed i also drive for a mega carrier like you used too and 68mph is my top and the reason i use the middle lane is because beside the lot of cars that merge from the right but also i got a lot of sensors on my truck that with cars on front of me going slow so i end up going 53mph instead of 65-68 and that kind of sucks when you trying to hurry a little bit and you can’t even go speed limit but still i move out of the other trucks way because like you said there’s nothing i can do but not every trucker get out of your way

How many miles do you do per day when you're pushing yourself? 1700 miles in 3 days seems like a lot lol. That's like 566 miles a day.
bro 566 is nothing 😂 I do 750 no traffic when there is roughly 700ish but then again consider I run 70-71mph it all just come to question how many hours you drive a day tbh😂 I drive my full clock

I just started a new job Friday. It's my first trucking job. I was wondering if im running a local route is it normal to have no breaks or a lunch? I started at 10am and finished at 2am the next day.

@@dtox1985able lol you have to take a 30 before pass 8 hours then you get your other 3 hours after taking that 30 min break, be careful out there you can get in big trouble if you get pulled in bro
@@chez8239 most of that time was sitting waiting to be loaded. I drove locally in my city I probably spent less than 2hrs actually driving. The day was mostly spent sitting at 3 different wearhouses. Idk if waiting was considerd not working 🤷♂️

I’m good thanks for asking ! and yes I always do, I normally just have it set on 3😂 and no im just a company driver (: and tbh I personally think there is no time to tell when should you become an o/o its a matter of when you know your ready and you can do it then that’s when I would pull the trigger, do a lot of research and being 100% ready is the key and not to failure 💯
