Also, no teamspeak, just proximity VOIP, so if you're not a full stack you can't do callouts.
So dropping $150 don’t get you arena at the get go like the streamers. Gaming has gone to shit.. we the consumer spend the money to get access to something and streamers seem to always get priority.
Itll be sick to finally get in, and the streamers will have unlocked better gear.. shouldnt be surprised tho, they cater to streamers for a long time now.

This community is insufferable. This is day 1 of a waved release and you're crying because you didn't get in immediately. There's people streaming Arena on twitch with like 3 viewers. There's thousands of people who have owned EOD since 2017 or before, and we have no idea how big the wave was.

Honestly I think it was content creators first and other people at random. I legit think less people would be mad if they just came out and either said the exact parameters for wave 1 or just said it was pure chance across the board for access. Because of how they decided to roll it out it feels shitty for long-time EOD owners. Sure, we are not entitled to it, but when you word it as they did it kinda feels like a slap in the face from bsg themselves for long-time players who got passed. And also stagger releasing a completive style game is just lame for everyone who comes in at a later date.
I actually submitted a support ticket with them to vent to them about this kind of bs. They can't say they'll release it in waves in order of game edition and when you bought it and then not do that. I've owned EOD from way back when there was only a couple trailers and a behind the scenes gameplay tech breakdown and I still don't have access to arena. Their pr team really needs to get their shit together and figure out how to communicate clearly to the public.
If they had just clarified months ago from the BEGINNING of the “arena release” hype, people would be less angry… If we knew that Arena day 1 release would be beta testing for year 1-2 EOD players then we’d at least know that the release date of the game is not for us and we would have to wait. I’m sure BSG also has at least some kind of approximate plan for when they would release new waves, they could give us conservative dates on the next wave dates, that would have been nice as well. If anything with conservative dates they could potentially give access to next waves early which means underpromising and over delivering which would be a great look for BSG. It’s just a game, I’m not mad. But definitely feel let down and burned out after the huge hype train.
Cant wait to watch people play this game for the next month and half WHILE LEVELING there characters and getting game knowledge while the rest of us plebian's wait and watch only to get in sometime next year and get shit on by players who know the maps. with characters that reload and sprint faster, move quieter, and have the better loadouts.. I think its entirely reasonable to expect all waves by wipe, considering how Arena ties into Tarkovs economy (assuming that functionality is in the closed beta). Besides, what you are describing is literally no different than just buying a game post-launch. gear score exists for a reason. They made it clear that not everyone was going to get access to the closed beta right away.

Almost every streamer has access; I don't know anyone on my list who doesn't have access. Especially considering that we have been playing EFT for years. This is unfair compared to others. By the time others have access, most are already further ahead with their skills and gear, and they have already explored more maps and acquired better classes.
BSG has mastered controlling streamers to promote their game. It took them years to bribe them with in game items and promoting their channels ($$$), but at this point they have control over the discourse through streamers and its so shady.

I've had EOD since it came out and I still don't have access to Arena. I can't say I'm not disappointed I didn't get into Arena, but I'm not surprised either. Betas these days are no longer for actual testing purposes, they're just periods of hype generation for developers, and Nikita loves sucking the salty sweat off of streamers ballsacks so it doubly doesn't surprise me, but does doubly disappoint me. When you design your game around streamers you prove you didn't really give a shit about your playerbase.

soft skills arent in Arena if i remember correctly and all arena characters will have the same level stats

Yeah at this time point after all the teasing and now streamers get in first? I am just over BSG at this point. I was kinda on the fence if I was gunna play next wipe anyways and this just seals in for me.
@NoiceGuy Killa does spawn I saw him kill Lvndmark on the stadium map and the camera was spectating him. He also just tracks people and hip fires at them in the killcam and there is no weapon sway.

Guys, I have no EOD I have a standard account and bought the arena on December 15th. I can play in the arena, so there is no priority for old accounts

I bought Standard Edition in 2021 and pre-ordeded Arena in late august. I received access, so it's pretty random.
What a sorry bullshit because just about every bigger streamer no matter when he bought the version got access it's nal again an unfair advantage of the streamers of which most of them didn't even buy the EOD version I can understand that BSG doesn't want to overload the servers but to say it depends on when bought and when registered on the website can play first and then streamers who have only had it since 2021 and can play are unfortunately a bad joke

I've had EOD since it came out and I still don't have access to Arena. I can't say I'm not disappointed I didn't get into Arena, but I'm not surprised either. Betas these days are no longer for actual testing purposes, they're just periods of hype generation for developers, and Nikita loves sucking the salty sweat off of streamers ballsacks so it doubly doesn't surprise me, but does doubly disappoint me. When you design your game around streamers you prove you didn't really give a shit about your playerbase.
I dont have Eod and got in with just the preorder (300h in EFT)
I bought eod in early 2017 and logged in to the arena website immediately in august, and still didn't get access.
good thing streamers who have been playing Tarkov for 2 years got their invites though

I got EoD last year 2022, I'm in third wipe but my account is just over a year old. I am signed up with the arena site. I'm not active yet for Arena.
I signed up to the arena website on Aug 27th and still sadly no invite yet, but I heard people who bought arena yesterday was able to get access :(
