I did go out on my own after my mate broke his ankle, ended up down salcombe at the winking prawn for lunch then back around Slapton on Friday, then north devon Saturday so had 2 enjoyable days😊

The music for the Gorge was excellent. Bond-esque. Nothing like feeling the Brie as you're riding on a hot day Ewa (ffs). At least the weather was Feta than usual Rich. 😒 The Gorge is on my UK list now. If you see me, say Haloo (to) Me.
On my door step I was in the waterfall restaurant with a friend few weeks back now on our bikes. Lovely roads from the top of the gorge. Also a great bike shop (helmet city) up the road in wells.

Another great video. Cheddar Gorge is local to me. If you are there again check out the cafe next to Helmet City - it’s great simple food at great prices. I always think Burrington Combe where you ended up is WAY better to ride than Cheddar. If history is your thing have a read up on the Rock of Ages, the war time history near Burrington and the history of Avelines Hole (awful name 😊)
Cheddar is amazing, lands end is a photo and in your way again but you got to do it, check out the minnack theatre nearby in Cornwall that’s very cool or some of the old tin mines on the coast

If you go straight on up cheddar gorge rather than the left you took, you can stay on a larger winding road and then turn left down the road through Burrington Combe (which is the nice twisty road you came down). (My local ride - from clevedon to cheddar and then back) ps if your coming back this way Aldo’s ice cream in Clevedon next to the pier. Lunch at five the beach (although it’s not cheap).
I drove all through The Gorge in 2018 and there were a load of goats all up the cliffs.I was in a car but I'd like to ride through next time I'm over.Stayed in a tiny village in the Cotswolds called Moreton-in-Marsh only had one pub lol. I can;t remember ever getting a sandwich like that when I lived there....one slice ham maybe two and that was it.That looked more like an American one. Nice video again

You're in my manor there guys. The road you came down was Burrington Combe. It's less well known but a far more interesting ride than the gorge and the locals use it all the time. As is always the case with a local, other than the Christmas Shop, I have no idea what shops are in the gorge as I never stop there, but I do visit a little deli near the centre of the town, their cheese is amazing. Maybe I'll get myself a sandwich the next time I am in the area.... which will be after all the summer visitors have gone! Glad you had a good day, the Mendips are a really fun place to ride. Oh and you were more or less opposite a really nice little cafe in the middle of Axbridge, they do a very nice cream tea there (don't forget to lift your little finger).

Hi guys, I hope all is well. I have a question for you since England came out of the EU. Do you need a temporary import permit for your motorcycle when you enter the EU or is it all still the same considering England is a part of Europe. and one more thing is there a certain amount of time that you can keep your motorcycle in Europe, I thought you might know since you’ve just come from there. You might have that information. I’ve saw some things online, but just thought I’d ask.
No problem for us to bring the bikes across, you just need to carry your documents with you, I’m not sure how long the bike can be here for but we only are allowed 90 days in every 180 due to brexit
As a diehard motorcyclist, occasional 4x4 driver and retired cyclist (retired at 16yo, mind!) walking, hiking and pedestrating of any type is grossly overrated and best left to the over energetic amongst us…silly people, really! The world is far more interesting and enjoyable from the seat of a motorcycle…besides, have you seen the price of trainers nowadays?!! 😂🏍️👍🍺🇿🇦

Hi, I really enjoyed your cheesy foray into the Cheddar Gorge area. Genuine English Cheddar is hard to find in the average US supermarket. They occasionally stock Welsh and Scottish "cheddar" as well - good but not quite the same. American cheddar is pretty nasty and something to be avoided - only suitable for cheeseburgers. I'm really partial to a cracking Stilton which is even harder to find, except at Christmas. Cheers from Alabama

I've been through the gorge about 10 years ago , and although beautiful it is quite small . I can't remenber wich day it was but it was crowded !!

As a diehard motorcyclist, occasional 4x4 driver and retired cyclist (retired at 16yo, mind!) walking, hiking and pedestrating of any type is grossly overrated and best left to the over energetic amongst us…silly people, really! Hi, I really enjoyed your cheesy foray into the Cheddar Gorge area. Genuine English Cheddar is hard to find in the average US supermarket. They occasionally stock Welsh and Scottish "cheddar" as well - good but not quite the same. American cheddar is pretty nasty and something to be avoided - only suitable for cheeseburgers. I'm really partial to a cracking Stilton which is even harder to find, except at Christmas. Cheers from Alabama
