I know what u mean its hard having to watch loved ones get sick and theres nothing anyone can do My BirthDad was sick in 2004 I went and saw him it was hard to believe this was the same guy who actually almost killed me as a baby He looked so peaceful laying there I clutched to my Sister the whole time he died a year later in August 2005 I know he wasnt a nice person but I still tried to be there for him even though he acted like he didnt want anybody near him I grew up mostly in FosterCare but when I heard he was sick I rushed over to see him Im just confused he had 7 kids and only 2 showed up I wish he had been nicer to others I wonder if he knew he was dying but kept everybody in the dark about it my Mom was his 2nd wife his other wife divorced him after finding out he was dating her while married. Its also odd A year before his death my Mom called telling me Son ur Dads in Jail again I tell her what did he do now? She replies He was driving while drunk but it wasnt his fault his car wouldnt stop Police wouldnt have caught him if his damn brakes were working I wish we could have made up but its too late so whatever happens to ur loved ones make sure to try to make up because u dont want it to be too late
Just a tip when emptying the chemical toilet.....once you tilt it and the flow starts, press the green button. That vents it and makes it flow faster. Anything you can do to complete that task faster is a good thing.
It was great to see the Beans! Thanks for showing us a bit of England. I’m praying for your mom and family. Please take all the time you need. We’re here for the long haul. It’s the Endless Adventure, after all!
I can always count on you two for the hilarious truth beyond the horrifying reality! I hope with all my heart that both of you understand that we cherish your heartfelt journey through life. And I dare to say “we” because I have absolutely no doubt that my admiration, respect and delight are shared with many others!
Whilst in Bristol did you see the clock that has one hand showing Bristol time, 10 minutes behind GMT. Each town had its own time until the railways standardised it, set at noon when the sun was at its highest point in the sky.
Just wanted to tell you I love your videos and I'm sorry about your mom. I'm a fellow Missouri Native and now live in Kansas City, Mo. I have terminal colon cancer and I'm 57 yrs old, have 7 grandsons and 1 granddaughter all under 14. My husband and I had plans to travel too but life as we planned it took us in a direction that I wouldn't want anyone to endure. LIVE YOUR LIFE, CONTINUE TO LAUGH AND ENJOY EVERY SINGLE MINUTE. Love you guys Tracy
Praying for your mom and your family. I lost my dad 3 days after my first Christmas with him. Having sick loved ones is always hard. May God be with your mom, you and your family in this time!!!!
I can't believe two of my favourite vloggers drove past the end of my road! (In Bristol) We are regulars in Cheddar getting supplies of cave cheese, it's my son's favourite. So sorry for the reason that you had to cut your trip short but going home is obviously the right decision. I'll be keeping you all in my prayers.
So nice that you were able to spend another day with the Beans. Glad you can have some time with your Mother this holiday. You will never regret spending this time together.
safe trip back home our thoughts and prayers will be for you both and Eric's mom at this difficult time glad you got to experience a little bit of England.
Spread on the jam, then top with little blobs of cream. We use ordinary whipped cream in NZ , which has added a little powdered sugar, or we call it icing sugar, plus a little vanilla essence. No clotted cream! 😊
Great film, it's so funny watching your reactions to UK roads. When you grow up here it seems normal - you would get used to it if you could spend more time. But you're right about needing balls to drive big trucks over here. If you come back make it some time between May and September. Right now is the worst time for weather. Safe journey home and good luck to mum!
Family first - always. Sending prayers for your family. Loved the views of Cheddar and the road trip but glad you'll be with family during the holidays.
I'm very sorry about your mum Eric. It's frankly amazing that you two are still producing content in these circumstances, thank you. The complaints about the dark are hilarious, people forget that effectively all of the USA is further south than the UK. In the northern parts of Scotland we have midwinter days where we never get out of twilight (though the sun does rise, unlike the nordic countries and iceland). It's ok to find the roads tricky. Driving a small-ish car I still have hesitation about the tiny roads but for slightly different reasons (no 4wd, low to the floor if there's flooding etc.). There's a certain balance to be struck between caution and pushiness (as in your bus-lorry standoff)!
Girllllll Allison...you better stop with that buttery biscuit and fresh farm cheddar! OMG loved the looks of that! So happy for you guys and appreciate the great video 🤗
Here in the UK biscuits are completely different to scones, but I understand where the confusion comes from having visited Wisconsin many times to see our friends. A scone is almost a cake in consistency, biscuits are much harder, and are often best dunked in a hot cup of tea. We make the best cups of tea, and I’m not sure why but it’s never the same over in the US.
Glad you got to visit a bit with the Beans and see Noah, we got to see him again too. Thoughts and prayers for your family now and in the New Year. Enjoy the time with your family and we will see you on the road again soon.
As an Aussie driving in the USA and Canada on my trips over, I think the most "interesting" was coming to a busy crossroad and being confronted with a stop sign on each corner. I turned right, drove to where it was safe and did a U turn, then back to the crossroad and turned right. Safer for me, and other motorists. My mantra for driving over there is "tight rights loose lefts, and keep your passenger in the gutter". So far, so good.
I hope you guys do a group trip like you did in Bali soon. FTN, Kinging It and this time add Travel Beans, Eamon & Bec & Kara & Nate. All my favs together! Love your videos!
You are meant to rinse the cassette well after emptying, then add a chemical plus some water, it all sloshes around while driving to help the smell and also add a chemical to the base collector of the cassette, to do the same and help break down waste to make it easier to empty. If you are not rinsing properly and adding said chemicals, the cassette gets lined with a nasty brown scale! 😊
I love The Travel Beans. I have a top 5 channels that I watch all the time. The Endless Adventure a 8:32 and The Travel Beans are in my top 2, I love watching you all.
Best wishes to Eric & his Mum. Interesting to see you appear in Bristol at the end. If you left town via the M32 (which it looks like you did) you were 5 minutes away from my house, which is pretty random when I watch your videos from so many far away places.
Oh Eric, my prayers for your Mom, you and the rest of your family. Life can be so hard. Take care. You’re a darn good son to make certain that Mom is is first. ❤️
This was such a walk down memory lane! My husband and I did an England road trip a few years ago, and I’ve been begging to move to the Cotswolds ever since!
Sending you and your family love and prayers. I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer way too young. I can’t say anything to take the pain away. Just know others understand.
In Australia this type of toilet cassette is common. We used a biodegradable tablet and about a tablespoonful of plain yoghurt in the tank. It did help to neutralise odours.
😃 Just in case you don’t already know and for next time… when pouring out the chemical loo, if you push the round button with your thumb, it’s a breather valve and lets your pour quicker and with less gluggs 😂 Also, for me personally, I prefer using Thetford Aqua Kem Blue for the waste tank.. I find it’s the best for breaking down the contents and really breaks down the smell too 😃👍
Best wishes to you and your Mom - being ill over the holidays is so difficult. I spent a couple of days in Cheddar and area (it poured the whole time) and it was delightful.
I envy your getting to hang out with the Beans. They brighten any day. Humor is best medicine. I’m in and buckled up. I know about having very dramatic endings to a year and during the holidays. Also beginnings with weddings and births. The circle is never ending. May peace and joy meet you all along your way.
That toilet cassette is fairly standard in Australia. Just make sure you put that black cap somewhere well away from the dump point while emptying the cassette. You do NOT want to drop that cap into the dump point.
Always nice when you meet up with the 🫘. Nice little RV! I'm so sorry you have to cut your time short and I'll be praying for your safe trip ✈️ back to the states. Also continuing to pray for your mom and family. ❤🙏
I have a 500e and it is fun to recharge for free at the public EV chargers. You also can charge for almost free when you charge at home for the off peak price of $.04 a kw. That's about $.01 a mile cost.
Being in England, it's great and fun! Their rich history, vibrant culture, and charming quirkiness make it a truly unique and lovable place. I started remembering the time when I went to Ireland to film one of our TV show episode. I absolutely love it!
Hey guys welcome to my back yard . glad you're enjoying the UK again . Oh and I'm one of the balls of steel trucker you're referring to 😂 . Sending Love to your family ❤
As John Cleese said to an American moaning about small roads in England in an episode of Fawlty Towers, "Well British cars have steering wheels"😅
That doesn't change the width of the roads
Bless you for putting family first. It was lovely to see you back in the UK. Our prayers for your Mom Eric.

This series has been so fun! Praying for Eric’s mom and whole family. 💕🙏🏼💕🙏🏼
Oh dear Eric, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I'm sure that I am not the only one who is keeping you in their thoughts. Take special care.

Family always comes first and I hope everything gets better for you over time
Bath, Cheddar, Bristol…..okay, they’re now on my bucket list. Thank you. I’m saying a special prayer for your mom and all your loved ones loving her.
When you tip the cassette up, hold the little yellow button in near your right hand, and it will empty way quicker.
Prayers for your mother. May God surround yourself with all with Divine grace. Peace and blessings
Sending prayers to your Mom!
Cheddar has a lot to offer the views from the top of the gorge, the cave, the town itself and of course... the cheese.
Hugs and warm thoughts for both of you and your mom and family Eric. Thinking of you over the holidays. Thanks for the short trip to the UK!!
All the best to your Mum, Eric
Prayers for your mom Eric. Enjoyed the tour of the cool things in England. Very beautiful countryside. 😊

It really helps if you press the vent button on those toilets. Things go much more 'smoothly'.
This was such a walk down memory lane! My husband and I did an England road trip a few years ago, and I’ve been begging to move to the Cotswolds ever since!
9:59 the roads are not just thin, they have added some beautiful twists and turns. it will be a great f1 street circuit.
