  • Rosalee de la Forêt shows us how to make one of her favorite herbal preparations: Bitter Aromatic Digestive Pastilles, from her book Alchemy of Herbs: bit.ly/Alchemy-of-Herbs
    Ingredients:
1 tsp. organic angelica root powder
1 tsp. organic coriander seed powder
    1/2 tsp. gentian root powder
    1/2 tsp. orange peel powder
    1/4 tsp. black pepper powder
Organic honey (preferably liquid in nature) or an alternate syrup like brown rice syrup or maple syrup
    Salt (finely ground)
    Directions:
    1. Mix the herbal powders so they are well combined.
    2. Add honey, little by little, so you can form a paste.
    3. Mold the paste into little balls, about the size of small pills.
    4. Roll the little balls in a mix of orange peel powder and salt before consuming.
    5. Refrigerate and use within a week. Consume 10-15 minutes before meals.
For more in depth directions, and other recipes from Rosalee's book, check out Alchemy of Herbs

Thanks so much for this great info! I really love how you walked me through all the steps with no rush so I could understand what is going on, and that you mention the herbs more than once. That really helps for my memory. Btw, I absolutely love the back round.

Great video! I wonder if you could use sunflower butter to bind the herbs as well.

Your videos are always so user friendly, but, so are all of your "teachings". Very much appreciated. I just have a question about the coating. In your list of ingredients, you mention powdered orange peel and pepper. Later in the video, when you're talking about rolling the pastilles in powder, you show that it's powdered orange peel and salt. My question is: is there orange peel powder both in the pastilles and coating powder? Also, for the coating, how much orange peel powder to salt? Thank you for any assistance.

Hello I enjoyed this video! I 've received a large order of herbs from Mountain Rose Herbs, could you please tell me where to get those jars.

Hi Isa! Unfortunately we do not sell those specific jars that are shown on the shelves. We got them quite a while back, so I'm not sure where they came from. You can browse our containers though to see if any suit your needs: www.mountainroseherbs.com/catalog/containers Warmly, ~Sara

I think it would make it easier for kids to take herbal powders. For myself I just mix them with plain yogurt and sometimes add frozen or fresh berries. I prefer to avoid concentrated sugar, even in honey.

I refer a lot of people to your website for herbs....... you guys should do a loyalty program.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us! While we do not have a "loyalty" or Multi Level Marketing program in place, we do have a great bulk discount that we offer to all of our customers! Perhaps you would want to consider becoming a distributor of botanicals and bulk ingredients. It seems that you already have a circle of people in your community that you connect with on this. If you would like more information about our Bulk Discount, you can find it at the following link: www.mountainroseherbs.com/ordering/discounts

Do you take them with water or do you chew them?

    • @mountainroseherbs
      @mountainroseherbs  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

These do not need to be taken with water. They can be chewed or sucked on like a candy. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your great question! Pastilles are typically taken in the same manner as a lozenge would be. Enjoy!

It's a beautiful looking background; but ... Herbs shouldn't be in the light, they need kept in the dark to prolong their
    shelf life.
