Be careful about planning to take it to events. This stuff can be counted as an amusement, and as such can require inspection and insurance. This is why I keep my stuff on private railroads. Sweet project though and looking forward to seeing more. One more thought, I would not use a true log splitter valve. Make sure the valve your using has some fine control.
ohh good thought, however I probably would only take it to church events and not get paid, but I will look into that, thank you. ( I currently take in my barrel train pulled behind my gator or golf cart every year)
I believe I am keeping the original with efforts to restore, so that is why the new drive systems uses the original powered trucks so if I want to go back I can
Absolutely great video; I liked the relaxed presentation (and the train of course) Hope you saw my video on the Bowness mini train somewhere else on TH-cam. It’s worth the ride (around 5 buckks). The park itself is free; a ine hour visit is likely to turn into 3 or 4 for you, People small and big ride the train and the big people like to take selfies, while on board. Calgary has 1,5 inhabitants and a US Consulate. In July, the 10-day Calgary Stampede attracts competitors from Texas and other locations; the parade on day one, lasts 3 hours and is 3-4 people deep,
Very cool project
I have a set g-12 as well ,, restoring in Canadian National Railways colours ,, new engine ,,
Joe, your excitement comes through loud and clear. Can't wait to see the progress. Well done.
Exciting!
This is cool!! I want to come ride when it's done!!!! It's been my dream to build a 7.5 gauge railroad someday!

That is awesome! After reading the title I was shocked to see how big it actually is.
That is a cool find. Shame the original engine is such a pain to work on. Though a newer engine and drive line would likely run quieter and smoother.

That is amazing, I love it...!!!
This is super rad!!!
Wow, fantastic!
