I've always fancied a MK1 cab, never had one 😟 MK1 roof so much easier than the later roof's! Straps normally stay fairly loose helping the fabric to fold in the right places, and the cables do pull it tight when it's closed, enjoy fitting it👍👍 looking forward to watching the fitting video 😀

Crispy's Projects, cheers crispy, ya next video will be out next week on fitting the roof. It doesn’t look too hard to do, just have to keep everything pulled tight I think is the secret

Is mark 1 roof pretty much the same as mark 2 roof do you know?

There was only Mk1 and mk3 I think the mk3 was an electric roof 1993+

There was no MK2 Golf Cabriolet. Cars past 1988 were fitted with the facelift kit.
