When I was a boy, I loved watching videos of mud bogging, tractor pulls, monster trucks, and demolition derbies on vhs and, once in a great while, television airings. Man, TH-cam has it all, and I'm still a little boy at heart.
My American pass time build a 900 hp asphalt circle track winged sprint car and go 150 mph plus with 35 other guys, European pass time spend same amount of money on a super stock run the oval track backwards and hit each other like your trying to kill the man banger racing
The first truck should've dropped an LS in it!! Very dependable , you can make a ton of horsepower with an LS and best of all they're very reasonable when it comes to buying and maintaining one , never would've been sitting there looking like straight clowns
Big power turbocharged V8 trucks are the future of mud bogging. I know there are multiple turbocharged V8 trucks already, but they are the minority. I would rather have a turbocharged V8 instead of a screw or helix supercharged V8. Wait until a truck rolls out with a twin turbocharged Proline engine making 3,000 HP building boost on the trans brake before setting off in the pit.
Also, height/tire width. The thinner tires seem to dig more into the mud than they accelerate forwards. Also, if not lifted enough, the engine floods part way across as the tires spin underwater. So powersteering, tire width, and truck lift seemed to make all the difference.

In this scenario not only would people be trampled. Many would fall under the wheels of those trucks and be crushed or drowned. Promoters need to think about stronger fence.. Larry, honestly between trucks we was having to yell at some to get off the fence. We had a few guys even try to climb over the fence. There was only t-poles and a hangar holding those fence panels up. Some people have no clue about safety and I mean the spectators. The park can only do so much. If it was a brick wall they would be standing on top of it. If you see my ATV bounty hole video you hear me yelling at people to stay behind the fence because they all jumped it and got behind me. When we ran the trucks we told them we would not run a truck till everyone cleared the exit ramp. Thanks for the concern! We try our best to help the park with safety when we can. Yep they always do maintenance on the pit before the competition like most places. They start with the ATVs then UTVs and then trucks last. Some bounty holes are just worse than others. All part of the entertainment.
Michael it is not just the power that you have to worry about. The other issue it that when these rigs get stuck in deep, thick mud you are more liable to bend or break A-arms and such rather than the straight axle setup that most of these trucks run. Straight axles are just the strongest option for most intense sports like mudding and rock bouncing too. Thanks for watching!
@CAWD FATHER Yep and the H1 hummers are heavy too and sink fast. I have seen a few of them do trails fine but when they find a hole that is nothing but mud they get stuck fast. They are just a bit too wide for most trails around here. They are also built stronger than your typical truck because of their purpose.
Jonathan I will be the first to tell you that skin color makes no difference at these events. We have all races at all of these events with no issues at all. You honestly may be shocked at how well everyone gets along at the rides. I have witnessed many races riding together and when someone needs help others jump in no matter the skin color. It is just one of those things you have to experience and see for yourself. Don't let today's media influence how people are in this world.
