Chapeau! Ein tolles, viel zu selten aufgeführtes Fagottkonzert mit einem unglaublich sensibel spielenden und technisch brillianten Solisten!

That is so beautiful! Really! I am a teenager and i love this piece! And the playing of theo plath of course. I absolutly enjoy listening to the solo concertos he is playing and also to this fantastic orchetra! John williams composed a great great piece for our underrated instrument! As the conductor said: Bravo! All of you!!!

I’m completely obsessed w Theo Plath. Such an incredible and handsome bassoon player 🖤

Absolutely stunning and fascinating, both the composition and the performance by Theo Plath (what a beautiful bassoon timbre!) and the orchestra. I love remembering my time studying in Frankfurt and attending concerts of the HR-Sinfonieorchester in the Alte Oper (I know... this concerto was recorded in the HR Sendesaal).

IV is executed perfectly. You can hear the phantoms struggling and the twigs snapping on the forest floor … what a haunted movement and one of the most phenomenal pieces EVER.

I have admired this piece since it was first published in the 90s. Its varied styles and textures make for a change of pace from the standard Williams film scores. His use of atonality, bitonality and--especially--fibrous colours in the orchestra keep this work engaging to the end. It leaves me wanting more! An excellent performance here by Theo Plath and company. Bravi.

One my favorite concert work by John Williams. The orchestration is amazing. This is well performed both by soloist and orchestra.

Williams' love of jazz is on full display here. Some of the bassoon lines sound like something Eric Dolphy might have improvised.

Bravo!!!! Thank you for performing this absolute masterpiece in the first place; it really should be better known and more regularly performed by all important orchestras. And secondly congratulations for such a beautiful performance full of care, respect and passion

Bril. Tremendous playing. I can’t imagine anyone equaling that big, free sound and control, with acres of technique to burn.

The introduction at the beginning reminded me if a jazzed up close encounter of the third kind segment when the aliens communicate with us at devil mountain.
I think this.whole piece is beautiful.

SOLID PROOF THAT CLASSICAL MUSIC IS DEAD. IF LISTENING TO 19TH CENTURY COMPOSERS OVER AND OVER IS AGAINST ARTISTIC SENSIBILITIES, YOU CAN LISTEN TO SOME 3RD RATE COMPOSER FROM HOLLYWOOD WHO SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO KISS THE ROADS MAHLER WALKED ON. I APPRECIATE HR SIN BUT A. BRING IN MORE 21 C. COMPOSERS AND B. CUT OUT THAT NASTY DISSONANT RING IN THE BEGINNING OF EVERY VIDEO. DONT HURT EARS RIGHT OFF THE BAT!

Imagine complaining about an orchestra publishing free records of their performances in highest quality. No one asked for your gatekeeping. And maybe stop capitilizing every word.
