Tech Sales Headhunter here - Perfect synopsis at 8:23! When SDR candidates with no experience use SDR tactics to get in touch with me or one of my clients, it says that you were naturally meant to be in sales.
Absolutely amazing. The most distinctive thing is, you actually tell a step by step plan with websites and resources to improve the search. Most people just give abstract ideas. Keep up the good work. Loved it.
Trent, I just want to thank you for planting faith into me when it come to striving to get a sales position in Tech. This video has motivated me to push harder if I really want it.
Your content is slept on. Been applying some of what you’re teaching into my business and I’ve noticed some real differences and new insights. Love you bro keep up the grind you’re going to blow up
My husband has been talking about transitioning to software sales from his current career as a helicopter pilot! Big change, I know! I know the vast majority of these positions are in-person roles... what are the best areas to consider? We currently live in southern tier NY
Love the video, Trent! I think the random music that plays is a bit distracting. It might just be because I wear headphones when I watch your videos so it might be heightened for me but thought I'd share! This was a very insightful video!
Great video once again! Would definitely be open to watching the follow up video you mentioned at the end , on how to negotiate an opportunity etcetera 💪🏼
Trent, that random music you put in wasn't good. Your voice was fighting to be heard over it and it was very awkward. If you're gonna do music, do it in the beginning or end, OR put it throughout the video and keep the volume low. As it is now it's no bueno bud
My son is about to graduate with a BS in IT and like so many of his classmates, he has NO IDEA what to do with it. I'm hoping he gets into SAAS sales.. 🍒🍒🍒
great video bro the only thing i'm not sure about is randomly playing bass music while talking can make it a bit difficult to hear you, other than that it was very informative and useful :)
Trent, you keep saying that we are going back to in person whether we like it or not. But my company and hundreds of others that I personally know of have said they have no plans on going back in person and want to remain fully remote. Sure your googles and your Facebooks and your Amazons of the world may transition back in person but there is such a large amount of companies that truly do not plan on going back in person.
@@TrentDressel even if I disagree with the main point, still love your content and I probably wouldn’t be in tech sales and happier than ever if I never found your content. Seriously, thank you.
I'm a little scared to jump careers with the layoffs. I was on the brink of entering course careers' training when big layoffs began. I know I can sell, but I've no clue what the outlook is for these kinds of jobs (BDR/SDR).

Thank you so much for this content! I plan to get into software sales next year. Do you recommend any software or tech skills I should be building up in my free time?
Great video Trent. What would you advise for someone with sales experience but not Software and the Interviewer says they aren't sure your skills are transferrable since you haven't sold software before?
@@TrentDressel yeah, that's what I tell them, but some Executives give them that line of 'we're not sure your experience is transferrable to software because you've been selling XYZ for 10 years, etc'. Not all say that of course.
Hi! Trent. I was wondering if i could apply for tech sales job in the US as an outsider. I want to get into tech sales but unfortutately i don't happen to live in America but i want to migrate.
@@TrentDressel Hey Trent is it possible to work remotely for US companies from outside the US? I know there would be tax benefits for them but I don't know how many HRs actually know that. I live in Europe. I'm gonna try regardless but if you have any experience or seen people doing that it would be immensely valuable if you shared!
Well im glad I know what APIs are, how they work, and how to code them. Gives me some confidence. Is it possible to do meetings on phone vs computer? Live in the sticks currently and satellite internet sucks. I could get work done and email and such, just don't trust it for zoom/teams
Just my opinion it know Trent got his job without experience but I don’t recommend it if you are interested in sales you will either be low balled or not even giving the chance to have an interview
I'm in my second year of college and I'm doing my bachelor's in tech I want to get into tech sales. How to customize the resume? and also recommend online courses

Many US tech companies have offices outside the US - I would research that
