From the original FILMMAKERS!!!!! So you like TRTG, and have watched it a lot. Well I bet you didn't know that there is an official directors cut right here.
I'm actually a fan of the double boat anchor myself, each backed up with a 16-point system. It's all about redundancy. I mean go for one boat anchor, but just know that if it fails, you could be in for some serious trouble. Five Nine sells some really cool XXL carabiners that can fit around the master point.
Wow! That was the best top roping tutorial I have ever seen! So many secrets revealed that I never thought of doing on top rope. I have been enlightened now! Thanks for sharing.
I mean whatever about taking a lead fall on a single piece, for those insane toprope falls you really have to make your system redundant. what if 13 pieces failed? Then you'd only have 2 left - super dangerous and risky. Better add another. Don't take risks with your life, you may as well free solo rather than use a 15 point anchor
The dude in the red shirt and white/silver petzl helmet seems like the ultimate memester. I bet he's constantly slowly saying funny ass shit that takes you a second to get, in a monotone voice. I'd kick it/climb with this guy any day, fsho
Man, I haven't top roped in 4 years. This was very helpful. Thanks doods! To think, all this time I've been doing sport and trad when I could've just been top roping...Man, I fucked up :(
The importance of wearing your seatbelt while belaying from the convertible cannot be overstated... great advice!
The assisted Dino... Some men chase dreams, others live them. It sucks knowing I will never be that good..
The fact that this Video hasnt gone absolutely viral shocks me. An Absolute masterpiece of top rope culture
I don’t think this is the original post. I was laughing at this back in like 2010.
Had I only known about the assisted dyno and skipping the bottom half of the climb, I'd have been on 14s by now.
Top rope is the purest form of climbing by far
i just want y’all to know me and my homies did the assisted dyno today. 10/10 would recommend
Right on.
I've been building my anchors all wrong.
spent a day at the crag today, perfecting the assisted dyno. great move, solid rewards

This is so amazing, never knew there was a director's cut!
I heard this was featured in 'Down Climb' magazine.
Top roping is a legitimate way to enjoy rock climbing. Pretending you're a hotshot on the bleeding edge is what's lame. Great Video.
LMAO the assisted dyno!

That's frickin funny gents! I was crying with the assisted dyno!
Dangerous to rely on a single climbing rope to attach them all.
Returning to the old texts for wisdom
assisted dyno is the best move ever!
Let’s go do some fucking top roping this video is the gold standard for comedy climbing films
Thx for sharing! Really helpfull instructions.. Which car did you use? My mother offers her pink BMW, is that recommendable?
Would a Citroen C5 be as safe to use as a BMW? And what are the pros and cons of a convertible vs. saloon for top roping?
Does buddy in the red shirt just look baked and happy as fuck 24/7?
BWAHAHAHAHA!!! That's some great stuff, guys! Thanks for making my day!!!
im a big fan of the 16 point cam nest personally

Back in the day there were routes in Joshua Tree that you could belay from a car bumper.
