I also enjoyed Earlene Fowler's novels. Some are quilting-related while others aren't, but all are excellently written. For mystery lovers, the Charles Todd novels are suspenseful and well-written. They are not quilt-themed but are set in the World War I era. I learned alot about that time period while reading them.
I found Marie Bostwick’s Cobbled Court Quilts series simple fun reads….also a Jennifer Chiaverini fan! Thank you, Fallon, for reminding me to read more for fun. When I was a young girl and sent to bed at bedtime, I would hide under my covers with a flashlight and read!
Carol Dean Jones books are very much about patchwork. They are based on the ins and outs in a patchwork shop and solving murders and disappearances. I loved them all.
I am into "cozy mysteries", mystery books without the suspense and gore. Mary Marks has a series of books called The Quilting Mysteries. I have enjoyed the light hearted story and feel like I am part of the quilting group the story revolves around. I appreciate this video as I am always looking for new books to read that involve my hobbies and interests. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for your book review. I loved all the Arlene Sachitano books. The Harriet Truman series. I read them all. Couldn’t read them fast enough 😂😂. Can’t wait for a new one. 😊
Thanks for these suggestions, Fallen. I love to read, especially sewing and quilting books. I enjoyed your presentation style and would like to hear more. 😘

Thank you! Loved this. I definitely need to look into After the Storm. Sounds right up my alley. I also love mysteries and historical fiction. If you have an Audible account, you may enjoy The Quilt Walk by Sandra Dallas and the Elm Creek Quilters series. The Quilt Walk, and some of the Elm Creek Quilters are free.
I read The Forgotten Semstress by Liz Trenow and enjoyed it very much. It begins at the turn of the 19th and 20th century, I think you would like it too.
Emilie Richard wrote about five books based around quilting. Read them maybe 20 years ago so don’t think they would be classified as mysteries but she is an excellent writer.
A quilting series - David Ciambrone. I read Hidden Threads. An actual quilter quilts a quilt and her husband David is the writer that incorporated the quilt she quilted. Met the writer at the Dallas Quilt Show.
You should look into books written by Sandra Dallas, she has one also titled, “A Quilt for Christmas.” I dearly love every book she has ever written, Patchwork Bride, Prayers for Sale, Alice’s Tulips, Diary of Mattie Spencer and Whiter than Snow, just to name a few. Quilts are in the backdrop of her books. I’m sure you would enjoy this author very much. As for Amish books, my favorite author in this realm is Wanda Brunstetter. Another author I love to read is Sharyn McCrumb, her Ballad Series is phenomenal. I’ve read everything by these 3 authors, they do not disappoint. I will look into the books you mentioned, as I’m always looking for a good book.
I am also always looking for a good book! Thank you so much for the authors to look into! Someone else mentioned Sandra Dallas as well! I am adding these to my list.
that's so funny, I can't count how many times I got in trouble when I was in school for putting the book inside my textbook like that. My problem is I can't hear when I am reading, I get so engrossed in the book I tune out everything else. So the teacher would call on me with a question, knowing that I wasn't listening, and then I would get in trouble. lol.
I see that someone already mentioned The Persian Pickle Club by Sandra Dallas, it is a favorite of mine. Also by Sandra Dallas - Whiter Than Snow and Prayers for Sale. I quit reading Jennifer Chiaverini because of the contentious relationship between a mother and daughter (which I figured would sort itself out but just took way too many books to do so). Happy reading.
Fallon I enjoyed your reviews. I have read some of these. I am a huge fan of the Elm Creek series and Marie Bostwick has the Cobbled Court series which is mystery mixed with quilting. Take care😊

I love that! Sometimes we just had to finish our book to find out what happened!
Carol Dean Jones books are very much about patchwork. They are based on the ins and outs in a patchwork shop and solving murders and disappearances. I loved them all.
My favourite is “The Persian Pickle Club” by Sandra Dallas. I fell in love with the characters and love everything about it. Deb x 🥰
I really love a book where you can fall in love with the characters! Character development is so important to me!

Check out Earlene Fowler! Quilting mysteries… very enjoyable!
Thank you! I am adding to my list! There have been so many great suggestions.
My daughter in law found me some of her books at a garage sale and gave them to me. They're the first sewing related books I read and loved them.
Ann Hazelwood has a couple of quilting series. I am reading the Door County series now. Loving them!
Thanks for these suggestions, Fallen. I love to read, especially sewing and quilting books. I enjoyed your presentation style and would like to hear more. 😘

The Taylor Quinn Mysteries are fun!❤
Yes! I found a few good series so I am really excited to read more of them!
I really liked the quilt city murders collection.
I am reading the next one in the series for sure! I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was happening!
Thank you for the book tips. I love quilty books.
Also a avid reader since I was young. I will have to check these out, thanks for the review.

You're welcome.
Thanks for the review, I would love more reviews.
Loved your video! I also enjoy quilting fiction.
Enjoyed your book reviews
Thank you!
Hey Fallon. My favorites are horror, scifi, fantasy, and romance
When it comes to romance I usually go to Nora Roberts or Debbie Macomber! It seems like you have a broad list to choose from!
Just found you. Love this book review posting. Always looking for this type of storyline. Please do more
I read The Forgotten Semstress by Liz Trenow and enjoyed it very much. It begins at the turn of the 19th and 20th century, I think you would like it too.
That does sound like a book I would like! Thank you for the suggestion.
Great book. Love when they are tied to history
I also love to read. I typically read mysteries and love books that grab you right from the start. I think book review videos would be great.
I agree with you so much! I love a book that grabs my attention right away too!
Many of us started reading the Elm Creek Quilt series by Jennifer Chiavarini -
That series is on my list too.
The Half-Stitched Amish Quilt Club by Wanda Brunstedder is a great book. It is not a mystery but a wonderful story.
I have some of Arlene sachitano books always enjoyed her books I met her in person she signed them for me
Her book was so well written. I enjoyed her writing style so much. I cant wait to read more of her books.
Emilie Richard wrote about five books based around quilting. Read them maybe 20 years ago so don’t think they would be classified as mysteries but she is an excellent writer.
I am adding her books to my list! Thank you for the referral!

I've been reading a cozy mystery series, Souther Quilting Mysteries.
I love to read also
I also love to read.
I wish I had more time to read like I used too. But I so enjoy when I do have time to sit down for a good book.
Fallon I enjoyed your reviews. I have read some of these. I am a huge fan of the Elm Creek series and Marie Bostwick has the Cobbled Court series which is mystery mixed with quilting. Take care😊
The Elm Creek series is on my list. I will check out the rest you mentioned!
So funny because I’m just finishing Double Wedding Ring (Garnet County Mysteries Book 3) by Debbie Mumford. It’s a pretty quick read.
I will look for that one!
Quilting Cozy Mysteries Books are good
Thriller/mystery/romance
We have very similar taste!
Oh gosh can’t remember the author, but the book The Sewing Machine was really good.
I also put a book inside my school books 😂😂
Sometimes I just had to finish the books so I could know what happened! lol
What book genre is your favorite?
