I have a 2.4l Volvo V70 Mk1, and every morning i start it up it sounds so good. Never get bored of that 5 cyl sound.

I welded up my own exhaust using a subaru resonator and spare exhaust pipe bends for my 850... Sounds about like the ipd but slightly louder and different tone.

I love my car.
06 V50 2.5 T5 awd 6 speed manual.
That 5 cylinder sound is like no other.
Im looking to do an auto to m66 manual transmission swap if i can find the right options in a p1 with a “blown” auto tranny.
Maybe a c70 convertable.

Are the wheels on the V70R just painted black, 18" Pegasus wheels? They look like they are 19's and perhaps aftermarket? I only say that because the tires seem so thin compared to what normal 18's would be running.

Why so much whine from engine when revved on the silver one

Its a turbocharged 2.5 5cyl. That whine is the turbo, you can hear it more on the s60r (the silver one) because the stock exhaust is dead silent. The v70r has the aftermarket exhaust on it so you don't hear it as much

I don't know... I like the quiet one better. I'd rather kick their ass with an unsuspecting car that they never saw coming than one that flaunts around and may or may not win. My 2 cents. Plus, I'm not 17 years old, I guess.
