I personally EDC fixed blades and I find no real difference in the actual carry of a fixed over a folder. 4.5 inch and under in a kydex sheath with an ulticlip for in pocket carry. Protrudes out of pocket just a bit, but not obscenely so. I carried folders for 30 years and have nothing negative to say about the experience, but now that I found a way to carry fixed that is comfortable, I will not be going back any time soon. I would love to see more people carrying fixed and talking their experiences on TH-cam or some other platform that talks knives and EDC. Give it a try and tell us your thoughts, would love to hear.

My 5 are: Vic Vagabond, my watch pocket knife, safety blade + scissors the most; Benchmade Anthem, very customized, my EDC, the best axis lock implementation ever made, and the perfect balance of utility and fidget fun; NT Cutter Pro replaceable blade box cutter, swap in a new blade every few weeks, no muss, no fuss, always laser sharp; Spydie Kapara - longer slicer, I love the compression lock; Boos Mini Smoke - light shorts knife, feather light and as slick as they come.

I like the ergonomics a LOT, which is the only reason I don’t have the PS2 yet. I got my dad the Salt 2 (Delica size) and he loves it too. So nice not having to worry about rust!

Right on! That Delica sized Salt definitely intrigues me. Yeah I actually went back and forth between the PS2 and the Caribbean, but in the end I use the Caribbean for more specific tasks where as the PS2 just gets thrown in the pocket without thinking so it gets more regular use. The weight is no small part of that. I love the comments, fun to talk about this stuff, why we love the hobby, right?!

I have almost gotten it myself, the Delica always felt a little small, but the Salt is a little thicker but quite a bit lighter so I’ve come to prefer it over the Delica. Definitely very fun to talk about this stuff, I have nobody to go into this stuff with in person so I love the comments too man, definitely is what makes the hobby so great!

Para 3 LW REX45 for abrasive stuff lives with my tools. Pacific Salt 2 plain edge for EDC, Civivi Altus for EDC, Benchmade Mini Reflex was my longest running EDC till i gave it away, and finally maybe the GEC 71 sodbuster. Spot 5 changes weekly depending on the latest mail arrival from reddit. Currently a Byrd Hawkbill whos lockbar stopped moving and bound up for some reason.
Really good list except for the Ironfly. Not that it wouldn't be a great user probably is. However if you can't really get it it doesn't help those of us that don't already have it. I remember seeing this a while back.
