Years later I have returned to man up and do it right !! This is exactly what I was looking for. I find one odd qwerk this this plugin. If I double click on the NKI for most patches, it does a "roll" on the main sounds. If I drag the NKI across in Kontakt as you did, it works. Could we some weird Sonoma bug until the official Kontakt is released. Thanks ever so much, I now have an awesome template to make some awesome Orchestral epic Drums instead of relying on Damage or other looped Drums. :)

    Phase cancellation and comb filtering when it gets summed up to mono? Or when you're sitting in a room without proper LR differentiation? Does it not lose its quality and get muddied up there? Because for any sound, if you just double it up and delay it slightly and pan it LR, it def sounds huge in stereo, but the mix doesn't translate well. I like to keep at least my low end clean and get width by panning the higher instruments (different toms, snares, metals) across the spectrum. So you get a tight low end and width both. I understand that orchestral music is mostly made stereo and all strings and brass sections sound good wider only, but I guess the rhythm should always be tight, especially the low end, for the sake of better translation of the mix to any auditorium/studio/BT speaker.
    PS: I'm open to a healthy discussion/correction if I'm doing this wrong, and not trying to point anything out. 🙈

    • @FennezMarson
      @FennezMarson 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      when you pan the same signal on two tracks to the left AND the right, your brain perceives it as the same and you still hear it coming from the "center" position (from the left AND the right speaker). if you drag one a little bit, your brain is able to hear the difference, so only then the panning actually makes sense. just try it by copy-pasting and panning, it's crazy when you haven't done it yourself 🙂
