Love your channel and style of communication. Service style boots are my favorite type of boot. Too bad they don’t make a little bigger size. I’m a 13.5 brannock. Your channel deserves much more subscribers and will get them. Keep the affordable boot vids coming. Everyone is making Nick’s, Grant stone, Thursday.

Nice video mate. Is like to see some reviews of Grant Stone, Trumans and others in that mid level price range . Will look forward to those . Happy to see another good boot channel.

appreciate the top-down shots, please continue to do them. totally agree with you that it's what you see all the time! also appreciate that you're doing reviews on this brand, not many reviews of this brand out there cause i guess it's below some reviewers and consumers alike. like whatever, get over yourself.

I own MULTIPLE pairs of Trask boots & shoes. Most of them are a top tier ortholite system on top of cork. But the nicer ones, especially Trask Reserve, have a latex top layer, instead of leather. It has so much cush, it's nice. And it always bounces back up after a day.

The Plain Service boot in Black OTA was my purchase from LuosJiet. After that I bought two pairs of their Indiana Jones boots, in Olive Refresh Waxy and Dark Wine Teacore OTA. I think LJ is top tier in terms of value to money.

So l wrote Prime Asia Leather to ask about the OTA leather and the Grain Cowhide. They didn't know any leathers by that description but did state that they only produce Chrome tanned leather. I asked LuisJiet about the difference between the two and they stated the Grain Cowhide available on a few of their Indy boots is a better leather than the OTA.
The OTA looks very similar to corrected leather. Which is leather with a dyed coating on top. Kind of like the MIE DR Martens. I will state that I don’t know so it’s only a guess.

I read somewhere that it’s 2mm but really can’t get a straight answer to what the leather actually is. I will say that they seem worth the price.

Nice info. I think all tea-core leather are technically a corrected grain leather but on both of the pairs I have you can still definitely see the grain.

@@YouShoe-1985 If the OTA doesn’t change color if you bend the leather it’s probably a corrective coating almost like painted on. I’m not sure cause I don’t own a pair. If you take CXl leather that’s teacore , you’ll see it has pull up and changes shade if you bend the leather. In this case it’s not a coating it’s a dye. Technically corrected but very minimal. As for the waxy leather that’s still a question. Regardless, I’d still purchase these.

Their OTA leather is pretty much what to expect from a Tea-core leather. It's sturdy but imho surprisingly easy to break in. The color finish looks very decent and will rub off with wear'n tear.

@@StealthFX9 Nice. Yeah, I’m between buying the grain Indy or the black tea-core service boot. I really like the look of the service boot. The sizing is still a question.

Is there a code for the $10 discount you mentioned?

    • @YouShoe-1985
      @YouShoe-1985  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

It’s on their website if you put in your email. It’s a tab on the side at least on mine.

You mentioned something about discount code. Not seeing it.

I’ve heard that from others. It on my browser on the right side. It’s a small tab and you enter your email. Maybe it’s a location thing.

You'll get a discount code if you do a review on their website with a picture or a video after your purchase. Did that twice. One time the code didn't work, so I contacted them via IG and they instantly gave me a new one which worked.

I’d give like $500 ish bucks for a shoe
to literally have “boost foam x” from New Balanxe… maybe more, rather than cork

I was in the shoe store for “Golden Goose” like 4 days ago while I was getting my phone fixed. San Jose California. Are you freaking kidding me??? They wanted $9550…. Yes that’s not a misprint, for vans that looked like a kid wore all summer!!! Yes the employees were professional and extremely nice…….. but I mean.. Fing seriously????? Just ridiculous

The cork filler layer in any boot is very thin and not going to make a big difference.

It sure would be a cool idea just to see how it works out.
