Hi! im interested in buying the zontes u1 but the keyless system is making me have second thoughts because I worry the battery on the bike dies and i cant access the fuel tank or the sit compartment. Does this bike have a solution against these problem? TQ
Hello, lovely video! I am interested in the zontes G1 and I was wondering if after 1 year of riding this you get a little bored of the power? I know this is a problem with any low cc bike and not just zontes but I'm buying the g155 as a first bike but I would like to keep it for many years without feeling like I need something more, any thoughts?
Not really no. I used to have a full licence and have had very very fast bikes so I've done all that. I've learned for me small bikes are more fun as they can be ridden to the bikes full potential, can't do that on a Fireblade. It depends on the type of person you are.
6"2 gang. Im getting the g1 this week I tried both the U and G version and honestly i just don't feel comfortable on the u1 if i don't sit upright all the time. Meanwhile I can rest my arms on the tank on the g1 which is something u can dream of on the U version even tho its technically longer :/
The U is a proper street bike in the street fighter style which is why it has the upright seating position. And for someone like me with back problems it's perfect but not for everyone. I tried the G1 and it's great but I'd been riding a scrambler for 2 years and wanted to go back to a proper road bike.
@@Mean-bj8wp I understand u wholeheartly. Honestly the U and U1 just reeks of fun and on looks and features alone i wouldve gone for em. My back is also not so great but since im doing Yoga im not feeling the discomfort i had before. I like to rest my hands on the tank cuz then i feel like the bike is bigger than it is and that's what got me to like the scambler one more. Honestly if i had the money i wouldve bought both haha Also, a question. How does the bike rides after 5k kms? I heard the first 500 kms are like riding a Scooter in terms of power but i wonder how it rides after 1-2k. Since you're one of the few people on yt who actually rode it more than 5k kms you're one of the most qualified and trustworthy people to give a proper answer to this question 🤔
@@shuttzi9878 I've actually done over 5500 miles which is 8900 kilometres and it still rides great. The bike gets smoother after the 1st service especially the gearbox. I wouldn't say its like riding a scooter as its a motorbike but just need to keep below 6000 rpm until 1st service but you can definately feel the power increase after that.
Hi mate, thanks for the review, any chance you can give an update on condition and any issues you may have had? I am planning on getting the U1 but i am hearing a lot of mixed opinions.
Hi I'm planning to do an update unfortunately I have a problem with recording sound on my cam so i will have to use my phone also finding the time these days is difficult.
THX for your video. I do own a Zontes G1 since 2 month and I'm wondering if fuel consumption and topspeed will change over time? I did 1200 km until today and topspeed was "just" 115 km/h. The engine takes more than 2,5 l / 100km. Does your bike also make a ratteling noise round about 5000 rpm (only under no acceleration) ? My dealer told me that's normal, but I do not like it. Maybe the timing chain or a kind of resonance of the plastic parts... Good luck the next 5000 Miles!
No rattles on mine at all. I get about 190 miles from 9 litres and I ride iit hard most the time. I use E95 petrol either 97 or 98 octane. My top speed has been 77mph but usually the roads I ride on have a maximum 60mph limit.
Ah , left school in 91 been riding ever since passed my test in 96. Kept riding 125's until 2002 as I love 125 2T, by then I'd been banned twice. I then got an FZ750 Genesis that had some mechanical mods never knew how fast it was as the clocks only went up to 150. Next bikes were 87 GSXR750K, 91 GSX600F, 93 YZF750R Genesis EXUP, 2000 CBR1100XX Super Blackbird, 93 GSX600F. With those bikes I got another 5 band. All these were due to speed all on speed cameras and totting up not once by being pulled over. The last time in court I joked they might as well keep it but instead they banned me and revoked the full A off my licence back to a provisional. I don't really miss the bikes as small bikes are fun and I've done the speed thing on road that had less traffic when I was young and reckless.
@@Mean-bj8wp thanks for the explanation. I get what you mean though I have a 2014 Daytona 675R and a 2021 S1000RR but I enjoy riding my little Zontes G1 about just as much. It brings a smile to my face as i can rag around at legal speeds without the fear it will kill me.
Good vid, you obviously know how to clean and maintain the bike, because an British winter can be tough 😊
Great review. You know your stuff and are very humble about it. Just what TH-cam needs! Thanks bud!

Nice one fella. 5K. I've only put 200 miles on mine this far
It will soon roll around especially after the 1st service as it just gets better.
any minor or major problems on the zontes?

Is this comfot for 1.85 tall rider and long rides? I like to buy it.

@@Mean-bj8wp that's great, especially since the bike has more torque than ita japanese rivals so it should feel peppier at lower rpms.
What MPG is the Zontes getting?

Riding for 30 years but still using an L plate?

My guy, your accent makes it hard to understand.
Nothing wrong with it. If you're really having issues understanding. Possibly clean your ears out. Also use subtitles. It works wonders😂
Man you need to miss out the rambling and concentrate on bike performance, speed etc . Shame because I’ve just fast forwarded most of this video,,,,,
Of you don't like it don't watch it.
These are the best looking 125s on the market in my opinion. Are these 15bhp & will they reach 70mph
14.6hp (legal limit 14.8hp) 8ve had 78mph on the clock on a flat road tucked in. I usually cruise at 60-65 sat bolt upright.
@@Mean-bj8wp Thankyou for your reply, I live in London & need a commute bike to get around. Think I'll definitely go for the zontes.
