Great first bike - I had a G1 and was super impressed with the build, economy and performance. Zontes really have got it right, better than the other Chinese makers and easily comparable to Japanese 125's - pricewise best value on the planet! Beefy enough to learn how to manage a bigger bike and really easy to ride. Mine sold really easily after a year when I moved on to a 650, reasonable depreciation (was never going to be happy!). Can't recommend these highly enough.
Hello Mark i own zontes z2 125 cc since April 2023 i had made 7 thousand km both in city and small travel it is a great bike. But for me 6ft tall is too small after hour of ridding i feel cramped. engine is vibrating a lot over 5 thousand rpm. Lack of power at high way. Suspension is too stiff. Tires are medium few times got slippery on dry asphalt. Over all it was fantastic enrty motorcycle. Very well made very good quality, very good breaking, gear box works very good. No problems at all. I can recomend it to every one. Zontes never let me down. greetings form Greece
ZT125-Z2. What a mouthful. Mind you, they couldn't call it a Z1, could they. I like the scooter-style anti-theft system on the ignition. Thing is, though, I never use it on my Aerox. What a great little bike. At that price, too. Nick J
This looks a great starter bike, commuter or general cheap mode of transport.. looks good, economical great quality.. look after it, it'll look after you. Great review Mark ❤ fabulous x
Great review as always. I'm interested in the 125cc machines whether it be a scooter or motorcycle for use when I don't want the faff of getting a big bike out. Keep the 125cc reviews coming
G'day Paul, not a bad looking small runaround Motorcycle 🏍️🏍️💨, great for around town or a quick ride between towns in the UK, the small bike market has always been strong in Europe and Asia and now building up in the rest of the World due to fuel cost, and because of there low pollution output they will be allowed on the road a lot longer than the heavy fuel user's such as cars and large bike's, signof the times, cheers mate ride safe, interesting review, Neil 🤠.
Looks amazing value and with a 770 seat height suitable for the shorter rider as opposed to the 815's of the premium names. A proper key and ABS not a CB system. Not hard to choose between this and a Honda CB12F for the same money.
An excellent review,Mark, as always. You give really practical info. + a feel of the bike. I fancy the 125 U model more myself. Have you ridden one? I'm after a sports type vibe from the engine but without a sports bike riding position ( due to muscle problems). If you have ridden a U, is the engine similar to the one on this model? Thanks.
Hi Graham many thanks I have a review on the u1 which is much the same to ride as the U....they are great bikes ... highly recommended them cheers mark
Interesting insurance quotes, this and a Honda CB125f garaged were a bit under 300, fully comp. On the driveway the Honda was just over 300 but the Zontes was up to 852, go to just 3rd party and it was down to 200 ish. Is it that no one wants to steal a Honda CB125F but Zontes are very desirable?
Hey Mark, I'm planning to buy my first maxi scooter abd I need your advice. I'm thinking between Sym Cruisym alpha 300 and Zontes 350E. I've watched many videos about Sym, current and previous model with analog dials, but i cannot find any long-term rewiev of Zontes 350E.Can you tell me what is Zontes as brand,do they have quality scooters,do they have reliable motors, durable body plastic, good brakes etc ... Do you have any information how good Zontes 350E is?Is he a good purchase? Thanks.
Hi bole we have zontes and sym scooters here in the UK they are both very good reliable brands ...zontes are very well made with good suspension and brakes ...id recommend both of them Best wishes mark
Yes abs on a 125 is great 👍 I also saw the E5 sticker and did wonder why not E10 as well ...I thought all new vehicles can run on E10 fine but maybe zontes are just being ultra cautious Cheers mark
@@stonkerontheroad9609apart from styling the 125 u is keyless the led display looks abit better and I think that's about it the exhaust also looks abit different
How hard is it to learn shifting?. I'm after my first motorcycle and have only rode electric equivalents or 50cc mopeds so havent used a manual gearbox on a bike before. It sounds scary but i really want a motorcycle this one is incredible value.

Hi Neil ....yes it rides superbly and has very good suspension

What a brilliant bike, compared to a Honda CG125 back in my early biking days. Thanks for the video mark.
Glad you enjoyed it Steve 😁
They've come on tremendously for sure but the CG was a phenomenal piece of utilitarian transport with it's pushrod engine, virtually indestructible...
Nice little zipper! Thanks Mark!
Many thanks Brett 😁

Hi Mark great review. I thought all new Zontes come with a flash looking TFT rather than the older looking LCD screens 🤔
Hi Steve no the zontes 125s apart from the scooter have the LCD screens cheers mark

Nice to see ABS on a 125. Looks like it only runs on E5 though! So you'd have to be mindful of that.

So these are for I guess in town/city riding back and forth to work when you don't want to use say an electric scooter or a bicycle?
Yes for beginners to learn on for the first year or so ...plus perfect for city riding commuting etc
Cheers mark
looks very close to the MT 125
How is this different to the 125-U?
Just styling ...that's about it ...it uses the same engine and rides much the same cheers mark

is it ad or your bike?
It's a demo not mine :)
160kg ?!? That is too much.
Most 125s are 160kg. Even 125 scooters are. Some are 180kg.
@@JDMz 107 kilograms are a normal weight for the 125 cc.

It's not hard ...you'll have it nailed in a day of training
Good luck with your biking career
