Yo bro! Thanks a million for this! Didn’t know this about Scaler in PT! Need more like this! This is exactly what I wanna do down the road! Educate on ProTools to kids! Dope! Keep it up man!
Great video! I get nothing but "all" and "predefined" for my input options in my Instrument I/O? I cant accept midi in from any plugins. Anybody know the reason for that?
Correct me if I am wrong here maybe I am not seeing it. But the major drawback I see in protools routing is the fact that you don’t have MidiFX control like you do in logic tracks. So you can’t just drag and drop midi to another track with a third party plugin to control because you have to make another scaler then route the heck out of it to control that plug-in? I am referencing the Scaler video from SOS titled “all the little things”. Where he has one scaler track at the top then a few more tracks under with different third party kontakt instruments and created the main midi theme in scaler and then copied that bound (one note)midi to the rest of the tracks that also had Scaler on them as a MidiFX to trigger within Scaler. Seems to be more work in protools to compose as far as routing and that’s a shame because protools is always behind the curve on midi and simplicity. Is this correct or am I missing a trick to make this easier.

Can Scaler work with Cake Walk ? Nice video. It has helped a lot to figure out composition in a DAW.
Sure. It's VST as well.
I don't see any of these midi options
Makes pro tools like the rest of daws
Yep.
