- I've been itching to draw this interaction for a while! This is a moment in Emergence (Rain World AU) between Suns and Pebbles after a certain accident occurs within the city, gotta love shit hitting the fan!

like you can see the (positive?) impact suns' mentorship has had on pebbles, but now things are different.

I'm glad someone noticed even tho I kept forgetting to draw the suns in. That bag carries Five Pebbles research which of course, mentored by Suns. This bag does hold some symbolism tho I won't spoil what happens with it~!

Best divorce ever
Holey moley, this really is an exquisite piece of art, every time I watch it gets better. Gosh the last third of it is absolutely breathtaking as a finale. Five Pebbles yelling "You're alone!", the corona appearing behind Seven Red Suns and how that changes the background, the leviathans appearing as the chorus swells, and Pebbles shrinking down and it ending on him alone. Good heavens, what incredible emotional animation. So much feeling packed into every frame. Bravo, bravo, bravo!!

I know absolutely NOTHING about Rain World or this AU but this animatic is BANGER I love your art so much and the characters are so expressive? 10/10 job on capturing body language when you couldn't rely as much on facial expressions
God their gestures and expressions are SO WELL DONE!!! There is so much emotion pouring out of each and every movement. IT'S AMAZING!!
I've yet to properly delve into Rainworld, but this and a playthrough I just finished watching are seriously likely to push me over that edge. The expressive emotions that you're able to consistently pull at here, both big and small, despite only really having eyes to work with is genuinely impressive, and the way that you use body language and the little antennae as ear-like things to aid that is REALLY freakin' cool. Not to mention the perspectives and push-and-pull of the argument. Bravo, my friend 👏👏👏

couple things to say ! (im new here just found this)
i love how the little shorty is clearly so much more expressive than mr black shirt, the way its expressed in the animation is super fucking good its immaculate i love this so much !
the walking scene from 1:22 - 1:28 is one of my favorites, im not sure why i like it so much but the walking plus little guy shoving him is so nice to my eyes.
the CHILLS i got from 2:25 - 2:38 was insane. Like holy shit that animation segment felt so damn powerfull !!
Im invested now, im subscribed, cant wait to just deep dive through all the content to see whats up with these silly little guys. Damn i havent thought about rain world in such a long ass time.

Don't know a thing about rainworld, but this was quite the treat! Your characters are consistently drawn, feel expressive and accurately expressive in their poses. Constructed of only silhouettes you could easily grasp what was going on, and the final shots especially brought it up a notch to match the music's climax. Well done!

It's such a small detail but i love Suns' antenna flick at Pebbles when he calls them a friend. Very telling.
... Also i know suns coat is probably a seperate design choice but it made me think back to Valleys and APL... Are these relationships going to be parallels in any way, out of curiosity?

I like the theory but the two relationships are verryy different. Suns is strictly Pebbles mentor and the coat is more of a protection to Suns.
What I mean by that is Suns is a highly respected iterator, their research while taboo has been referenced (at least Pebbles has) and there's obviously some intimidation when it comes to Suns character on the outside. The thing is this sort of reputation is given to them rather than fully earned because I don't imagine Suns being intimidation in social conflict, if anything they wouldn't know what to do (socially awkward bb). However the coat makes them look big and powerful, intimidating, it supports this reputation given and it's like that little protection Suns uses to get people to not mess with them because in reality they'd lose. (That's why I have the Pebbles pushing scene to show that Suns is a soft marshmallow push over- bc even Pebbles could push them around)

On the ear flick as i might've given off the wrong impression, to me it made it seem like Suns was uncomfortable with the concept of pebbles viewing them so highly.
It's nice to see different explorations of these twos relationship, especially in aus where they're able to interact on a more personal level.
Suns is a total pushover and i love and hate (exaggeration, dislike at best) them for it.
@@nectarinn3 Yeah! The ear flick was more just Suns being taken aback, because they're not big on being harsh like this
I can't even put into words how emotionally gripping this animatic is. The way you were able to convey expressions on RS and 5P was extraordinary, especially sine they don't really have facial features. And, I loved the kind of 21st century setting and style you put them in, as opposed to their more dystopian-esque Rain World environment, if that makes any sense. This was really fun to watch, so thanks so much! Definitely worth the subscription!

I don't leave comments on things, like, *ever*, but in this case I have had to make an exception. This animatic is what made me decide to get Rainworld (which has since taken over my life in an overwhelmingly positive way, if you ignore the fact that I spend as much time cursing the game as enjoying it). Your AU has been a source of comfort and joy during a very difficult time in my life, and I am not ashamed to say that I come back to watch this animatic multiple times a day, most days.
Your understanding of storyboarding and body mechanics makes this hypnotizing to watch. This is one of my favorite animatics of All Time (and I do not say that lightly).

I love this animation so much, when i first saw it i kept rewatching and just loved every detail and then couldn’t find it again til now, its so beautiful, you can really feel how personal it is, the song helps but i mean more about the body language and expressions! Which are amazing btw, so cool how much range you got out of faces without mouths, the metal ears(?) give a lot to that aswell, its so amazing, i gotta check out more of your work, i love the size difference between them and the body shapes!, i dont even know what this is based on or about but i love it so much, thank you for spending your time making something this lovely and emotional ♥️

I have NO IDEA what the lore is behind this au other than that they can walk now, but this animatic is just. ough. even in the actual story, it still has pebbles losing everyone he cared about and everyone who cared about him because he was in such an unsteady state of mind that he was too ignorant to listen to anyone's reasoning, ending up hurting not only others but most of all himself in the process, and then we have this to portray it. pebbles shoving suns and yelling at him, quite literally pushing him away. after arguing again, suns finally leaves pebbles to come to terms with the mistakes he's made.
and all the details, too - suns having sun-shaped "ear"rings and the same thing on the necklace, the patches on pebbles' arms with the rot, pebbles' sun patterned bag, the mural of suns mentoring pebbles, pebbles having what look like prosthetic legs from potential amputation because rot, etc.

i had an idea- and hear me out- what if NSH raced the rain deer in the Au? like- actually rode them had friendly races with the other Iterators- fun concept i wanted to share cuz i seems like it'd fit.
