Some economists have projected that both the U.S. and parts of Europe could slip into a recession for a portion of 2023. A global recession, defined as a contraction in annual global per capital income, is more rare because China and emerging markets often grow faster than more developed economies. Essentially the world economy is considered to be in recession if economic growth falls behind population growth.

@@macnicolson5452 Russia was going to invade Ukraine regardless of what the US or NATO did. Any hint of one of their de facto satellite states (Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Chechnya, etc) turning westward in any way would have resulted in Russia first funding and training fringe separatists, then assisting them with plainclothes FSB agents and military personnel. This has been Russia's Modus Operandi for 20 years now. Secondly, no, the West had every opportunity to prevent war and all that they had to do was stick to the Minsk agrreement but that intention went out the window with the 2014 Maidan Coup and the subsequent massacring of ethnic Russians in the east. The reason for the fall of Mario Draghi is very different than what you said. Draghi's main parties of the coalition have pushed to insert a law for making an enormous incinerator near Rome in the fiscal relief package, and then put the vote of confidence on the government on that Frankenstein package. This was unacceptable for the green 5-star movement main party in the Italian parliament, which had written agreements with the centrist party that building incinerators will be prohibited, embracing new recycling technology, and promoting circular economy as a fundamental value. The 5-star movement was blackmailed many many times in the past years, and this was simply the last one. For that reason, the 5-star movement voted only the package once without voting the confidence to the government asking for a democratic confrontation on other important themes like the minimum salary, the green transition, the taxation of the extra-profit made by some big industries by leveraging the pandemic crisis, the protection of the universal income. Draghi won the confidence vote even without the 5-star movement indeed but to exclude them it resigned and then back again to form a new govern without the 5-star movement, attacking them on the main core of their values to make them hungry and exclude them, thinking to have the support of other old parties but all the right parties after having pledged to vote the confidence have taken the occasion of flip the table in advance knowing that by being outside of that government the 5-star movement may regain a lot of support, loosed by backing Draghi, while they will only loose condenses. They also have taken the occasion to avoid the responsibility for the measures that the autumn may need. So, for Italy, this was a classical palace maneuver from the establishment in trying once again to remove the 5-star movement which comes from the civil society and the cultural elite, not from the economical establishment and the parties apparatus.

Secondly, no, the West had every opportunity to prevent war and all that they had to do was stick to the Minsk agrreement but that intention went out the window with the 2014 Maidan Coup and the subsequent massacring of ethnic Russians in the east. And could you please explain why Arestovich in 2019 on Ukrainian TV was telling that the war with Russia is NEEDED. That Ukraine via that war would shape and would unite the nation (he assumed that war will be won) and even went that far as Ukraine would claim itself as successor of USSR and would take all its glory etc etc He has extremely interesting lectures on these topics. . Let me remind you that he is advisor of Zelensky's office and responsible for Ukrainian media campaigns. His interviews and videos all the way till 2022 are very enlightening in terms of who planned what and when. Also in one of videos do 2019 he said that Ukraine would provoke Russia into a big war, even described airstrikes, that troops would also come in from Belarusian direction etc and that war would need to start in 2021, latest beginning of 2022. So maybe it is time to think who wanted really attack whom?

"Will a global recession start in Europe?" The USA is in a recession, - GDP in 1 quarte -1.6% and 2 quarter -0.6%
Technically yes the US is in a recession. In reality it is not. It is being hit by inflation, just like the rest of the world largely through supply issues and Chinese manufacturing problems. There is no wage pressures driving inflation. The US can not get enough workers. Yes there are workers being laid off, but there are so many unfilled jobs across the board. This has skewed the recession index. It is the first time this has happened in this way.
