This is a NICE layout! Feel like everyone who doesn't want to model a million trees and excessive foliage opts for a southwestern layout, but this showcases a wonderful alternative. Great layout, great video - thanks for sharing!
Tolga, great video of Cal's FEC Key West Extension layout. I really enjoyed operating on it when I was in Miami and learned a lot about prototype operations. Cal's layout inspired me to host operating session on my old CSX layout. The scenery on Cal's layout is top notch and it really gives you a feeling of what the line was like prior to the Labor Day hurricane.
@@ThomasKlimoski thanks Tom! Hope someday you come to town so we can also run. I agree that one can learn a whole lot about operations, and even little things like car blocks, classification, and good dispatching.
@ It doesn’t seem like BLI makes one with the bell and light configured like this one. Historical images of the actual 4-6-2s during this time period in key west show a bell and light layout that is the same as in Cal’s Layout. FEC 153, 148, and 113 are examples of the locomotives that im looking for a model of

As a native born “Conch”, your railroad has special meaning for me. Beautifully modeled!
Agreed! All of us are blown away by the sheer heart and talent that went into this faithful recreation of the Key West Extension
Very nice hand painted backdrop and layout
@@CharlieKrampitz agreed! It looks so realistic!
Who makes that 4-6-2 loco?
@@jorgelarios6412 i'd want to say Broadway Limited but not sure. It is brass
