- This video is on information technology IT rules, 2021. What effects will it have on various social media (fb, google, twitter, whatsapp), digital media and OTT platforms. How will it empower the users, like you and me to hold these companies accountable for the content they host. I will also discuss why Media needs to be regulated, and what could be the potential harm or dangerous impact digital media can have on humans, society and nation.

Unfortunately we did not have such Beautiful way of teachings 10 years ago.
There are good teachers, but they are not paid well neither treated well.
So teaching is a job for them, not a passion or goal or social work.

Absolutely. India has too much of freedom & democracy which many people are easily violating it & law institutions are overlooking it by saying we've many pending cases to solve.
One Jaychand example is last year a Quint journalist is supplying critical Army info. to China & he was caught by Delhi police. As expected, our India journalist Presstitutes(Ndtv & Gang) started their Randi Rona by saying Central govt is killing our FOE.😂😂 . FOE, doesn't allow them to push their own country to Chaos.REALLY, this people misuse the FOE.
Jaychands of India need to understand, after break-up the country trust they will not also benefited by the outsiders.

Government should create an independent body under judiciary to deal with issues and Grievance officer of IT companies. Government should not be the authoritative controlling body here. That can lead to misuse of this new rules.
Judiciary is already overburdened with lots of cases, plus the DPSP mention separation of executive from judiciary and these are provisions of state policies (Executive actions) so it is not at all constitutional to create an independent or judicial body to govern these rules. How ever if anyone is not satisfied with them, he or she can file petition in Court

The provisions of the new Rules were very well explained.
However, the absence of explanation as to why the Rules are being opposed, presents only one side of the issue.
Explanation on the debate of 'Privacy vs Security' would have made this a holistic and balanced video.
Technically, 'Tracing the Originator' without breaking encryption is not feasible.
Thus, 'Tracing the Originator' would imply an end to 'End-to-End Encryption'.
This is perfectly summarized in WhatsApp's statement - "We cannot trace the originator of any message, unless we trace the originator of every message."
So, is it proportional to track each and every message, to trace the originators of problematic content?
How do we balance the needs of Security, while ensuring the Privacy?
Where exactly do we draw a line between what's allowed and what's not allowed?
Without comprehensive Data Protection Law, how much leeway these new Rules provide to social media companies?
This is a grey area, and there are no right or wrong answers, but this is definitely worth a healthy debate.
The new IT Rules are necessary, but in their present form, we consider they are disproportionate.
Main motives of these laws are to identify the whistleblowers and to threaten so that no corruption could come out in public.
Everyone knows govt doesn't care for common man and most the abuse are state sponsored who oppose them.
And most interesting is that govt by own which content is problematic which is not.

@@journeyofafreak2562 Lack of integrity of our investigation agencies like CBI, ED, NSA etc and loyalty towards state instead of rules and regulations clearly make people that these are not meant for the common man. These laws have bigger goals beyond are wisdom, only Hitler could tell about what's the plan.

This act is very very important. People aren't understanding the gravity of the disturbance this act has cost to these big tech. This will make them invest into themselves and make a better platform which they don't want to do as they can invest the same amount of money into 'updates and innovation' which will make them more attractive and more users hence more money.
Point is, no one wants to be accountable but everyone of these big tech wants to mint money as much as possible from the massive population of India which is not ethical at all.

I am unable to understand why twitter can't follow something as basic as putting a grievance, compliance officer in India. Why the people, govt have to ask someone in India and they refer to US on some compliance related info.
Every company follows it in any European country.
Will someone sitting in US take decisions on what is good or bad and we will hv no jurisdiction as a nation on this?

Yeah, I totally agree that we Indians don't share our family problem with the world, but if we don't share what's happening related to Poverty, education, the health sector, farming, science, and Technology I don't think any govt. will even think of improving those areas
First of all, govt doesn't take any decision of some self proclaimed-media celebrity. Govt consists of intellectuals in the form of bureaucrats, economists, advisors and many more. Its a collective thought process and execution.
So if you believe by highlighting poverty, education, health sector etc..issues on the internet your problems will be addressed, then you are living in paradise my friend.
