James Mercer is the only person involved with my bucket list. I just want to see him sometime and buy him a beer, as thanks for his lyrical mastery. His lyrics often offered me insight in how to tackle problems and serious issues I was struggling with as I've grown up. Thanks, peace, and love brother, from Australia.
So cool that his friend pulled him into his band....little gestures like this from friends have powerful, life changing impacts on people. And we all get to benefit from that friendship...
Had no idea Garden State brought The Shins to the world! I remember feeling I was super late to The Shins when I heard it in the movie. Had no idea they were new and unknown then. Garden State soundtrack change my life and taste in music. So glad to hear it’s part of their story. ❤️
I just found out his band a few days ago and now I'm here spending an hour listening to his talk. I meant he is such an inspiration and what he was talking I totally can understand and feel very related
Always great interpersonal-connected interviews Chase. What a wholesome heartfelt person and artist James Mercer is. Only clicked that James is also the front-man to Broken Bells during the interview. I feel a connection with the music from The Shins and Broken Bells. Hug across the Pacific from Cody in Oz.
He looks like a love child of Marton Csokas, Kevin Spacey, John C. Reilly, Colm Meaney, Gene Hackman, Eminem, Jeremy Irons, Paul Reubens, Daniel Day-Lewis, Russell Crowe and Clive Owen

He's so humble and down and to Earth!

Really enjoyed that. Thanks!
Isn't there a performance from James Mercer here where he played 40 Mark Strasse? Where can I find it?
Im starting to feel like the life of a creative is one of constant question if were going to make it even when we do.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life John 3:16🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
There were some great performances from James in this channel and now they're gone. What happened?
Bountiful with baff
