I paid for one of Eudes' watercolor classes. Was amazing to learn from the master himself, he communicates his techniques so eagerly and passionately he wants you to reach his level. Its also funny/inspiring how passionate he is about getting people's hair right, which is my absolute favorite detail in his portraits.
Another Great look at an artist, Liron, thank you! The inclusion of the reference photos is really helpful in learning about simplifying/personalizing a scene to create a nice piece of art, something you've covered recently (more please!). Two things really stood out to me - at 9.20 - the reference photo allows a Really great look at how he uses it as a guide, but invents/adds quite a lot and yet still creates a wonderful representation of the scene - The shadow of the kiosk, the choice to include one sign only, and the people, who look wholly invented - Really great at 11.30 - the reference again shows that he added hats(!) and matching shadows, and even completely different ensemble for the guy including a shirt tied around his waist - wow!
Thank you for featuring Eudes Correia he is one of my favorite artists. You have such a great eye for detail. Thank you for pointing out different techniques you see in his paintings. That teaches me to look more closely at his work or any artist's work. I am going to Portugal in June 2020 I am just hoping he has a workshop while I am there. I keep checking his website for workshop updates.
Its nice to come across some great reviews ....you have nailed this one, Eudes style of watercoloring has capture my attention, again I too have to learn to start lighter and work into in...taking a workshop with Eudes today is my treat ....
on August 21, I sat in on his English version....enjoyed every minute of the 3 hour workshop....learn in depth concepts of why his brush strokes are angled in such a way, the complexity of his work broken down by sections....highly recommend taking a workshop with Eudes LIVE or online
I agree with you, he’s work is amazing. I’m trying to learn but the thing is that first it’s very important the drawing, proportions. That’s also a difficult obstacle for amateurs like me .
Such amazing art ❤️❤️ normal people would see this as nothing special, just see it as realistic paintings, but people with a passion for art see the effort to reaching to this level, and the beauty in art
After painting for so long the mind picks up on soooo many things that someone “from the outside” will never see 😁 I have so much appreciation for watercolor!
I've been to four of Eudes classes, and can confirm he never uses opaque white - he either saves highlights as he goes along, or scratches highlights with his fingernail and/or a palette knife. 🙂
Thank you so much Liron for covering Eudes Correa . You comment on his techniques so well that it makes it much easier to emulate some of it - not that it’s going to be easy. Thank you once again - Sanjeev Handique ( India)
I really loved this vlog! You did a wonderful job of showing all the fine nuances of this artist's works. There were really amazing techniques and style. I have never heard of this artist, but I am a big fan now. Loved all the paintings! I also love your work too!
Thank you for sharing your inspirations from this artist. I had never realized there are so many techniques can be mixed to give you a unique presentation of someone's eye on what they see in a subject.
Thanks Liron for this vid! I love artists corners! You let me discover my most favorite watercolor artists Marc Folly and Victoria Prischedko(?) !!!!! I think this artist will join the list!!!!
Wow! What an incredible artist. Thank you so much for bringing his work to my attention, I had not heard of him before this. Definitely someone I will be following along as well and curious to go watch his TH-cam vids and other links you share. So inspiring and also love your own enthusiasm about each painting. Since you're also asking for requests, here are a couple: 1. Would love to hear about your visit to New York last month - are you going to make a vid just sharing what you did where you went etc? 2. Although her painting style is very different from yours, I wonder if you'd do a feature on Anna Mason. She is definitely a watercolorist and her work is amazing. My personal work tends to be more loose, but I also like learning from her and how she achieves such accuracy and hyperrealism. Thanks again, always fun to watch your vids, Liron!
thanks liron for this introduction to eudes correiia. have you come across watercolorist gary tucker? i'd love to hear your comments regarding his approach and simplification methods.you, andy evansen and gary tucker are my favorite artists.
Hi just a question do you think or know if the artist Eudes Correa has spent years studying the human anatomy or just an eye for general proportions ? Perhaps even what you have studied too get accurate proportions of people in general,be good to get an answer ,Great paintings though something to strive for .
Thank you for kinds comments.
You got it! Fantastic work 😊🙏🏼🙏🏼
This man is unbelievably talented. His work is realistic, but not stuffy. It's alive and fluid. Thank you for sharing.
YES! He hit a perfect balance and a unique style too (: A lot to learn from how he works
