Nice catalog of the BPC "Black Plastic Crap" of the mid 1980's when stereo gear was basically garbage. I know a tech that called the Sansui gear from that era "San-Sewage".
If in the mid-80s there was bad plastic in the 90s, what was it like? I think that the audio products from the 80s lasted longer than those from the 90s.
@@OLDBUTGOOD I was in high school in the mid-late 80s. Those kinds of stereos were absolutely awful. I had one, all my friends had them too. Cheap parts, resonant cabinets, little to no shielding in critical places in the circuitry resulting is a lot of cross talk from the tuner. Turntables with inconsistent speed, no counterweights or anti-skating adjustments. Bad, but useful until one could afford real components. The 1990s were actually a bit better for beginner bedroom stereos. Little "shelf systems" were like highly evolved boomboxes, but with a cd player on top (and all had a megabass or hyperbass boost switch) I don't know if they lasted any longer than their predecessors but they sounded better and usually felt more solid. CDs sound pretty good on all levels of gear even low quality bedroom systems. Records and tapes played on low quality gear sound especially bad. Know however, that there were mid-range and high quality components in the 80s from companies like Yamaha, Harmen Kardon, NAD and Marantz. Many of those do still work or can be reparieBut you wouldn't find those in a catalog like this.
About the CD Player in the 90s, they were much more advanced and stable to shocks on mini-midi systems, but the sound in decibels was much weaker than in the 80s, when the design, colors and aluminum inserts were superb and pleasant to the touch. In the 90s new sound functions appear such as: BBE (the old DSL) or Super Mega Bass, XBS, Dolby Pro Logic which really gave the audition a superior quality incomparable with the 80s, about the professional brands Marantz and Pioneer you can find some examples that are famous even in these Peter Justesen catalog formats from the beginning of 1992, 1993, 1995 here: th-cam.com/video/YNkxCnAxf0Q/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/dA1bdes4feA/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/Sl5P1joYtvs/w-d-xo.html
The Eighties hi-fi was no worse than it had been in the previous decades. There was mass-market cheap, plastic, junk and there was hi-end - expensive, battleship build components...
wonderful systems 😊❤️👏👏
Yes, they are really good!🥇✔🏆
Puhas kuld👍👍👍💯🇪🇪
Ajal, mil audioehetel oleks eriti hea ja ilus disain!! 80s 😍🔥
3 :34 that is " the system " 😇
Yes, it is the V1200 A system (includes speakers), its components can be attached and bought separately and the V-1200 is without loudspeakers.
