    Mutant Epoch is very cool.
    WM art is top notch .
    I've contributed a bunch of new mutant animals for the upcoming book.
    Blood Axe or Star Slayer in the old forums.

      Awesome, I look forward to seeing that book. I’ve got some stuff in it and will be working on more TME stuff in the future.

      I absolutely love The Mutant Epoch!

    Regarding Clerics in DCC. Pick up the Lankhmar set for DCC and use it's rules. No clerics in the setting, and includes rules to deal with that different healing dynamic.

    I have swiped Mutants, Manimals and Plantients to use in DCC games. I absolutely believe the Umerican Survival Guide is a completely superior Post- apocalyptic game book. I wholeheartedly recommend that one

      I need to get that one.

      I generally like the Umerican setting and relevant bits such as classes in it better. As far as a nutty post- future apocalypse goes, anyway.

      @@RPGOverviews It's got vehicle rules, Warriors with Mighty Deeds, guns and grenades. It does require the DCC core book to go along with it, but it states that out clearly.

    I have been reading everything I can for this game as I plan to run it soon, so nice video. Another mistake I find perplexing: The Characteristic modifiers chart (table 1-1) shows INT modifies how many programs a Shamans can memorize, but there is not base value to apply those modifiers to. Now personally I think the AI Bond limits programs enough,(perhaps too much), so there is no need to cap the maximum programs a Shaman can learn. It seems that is the intention, they just didn't go back and remove the reference in chapter 1. I doubt this will get any more love from GG, as they have announced Radiation Crawl Classics recently, but Jim is making great stuff for this game in the Scientific Barbarian magazines. As far is character balance, I think the human classes are fine, they are toned down to allow artifacts to shine. This does, as you point out, put the onus on the Judge to use artifacts and AI recognition to show their strengths. Mutants are for people who want the wild DCC stuff out the gate IMHO.

      Hmm I didn’t pick up on the modifiers chart, thanks for letting me know. Didn’t know about Radiation Crawl Classics either, the name imo is a little jank but oh well. I’ll look into it. Thanks!

    I have been jumping back into TTRPG stuff hard as of late. Lots of Mork Borg stuff, Blackoath Entertainment product's such as Sacrifice, Across A Thousand Dead Planets then MCC and DCC. Going to be playing DCC first. Everything i do is solo either the games have solo rules or I add them in also clearly most of these games are OSR type games or in that vein at least. The MCC setting is just a cool fun and strange setting. But I hope they drop more content for this setting i know people out out stuff for it from time to time. Thanks again for your work big help for me grtting back into this stuff.

    I really wanted to love this game but I have issues with it. I wondered what happened with Wampler?

    • @RPGOverviews
      @RPGOverviews  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I understand and hope the video did a good job at relaying those issues. The adventures are still good I think and overlooking those issues to play those adventures is worth it I believe.

    It is shocking that they didn't include wetware for all levels, that's a nearly unforgivable omission. I'm still planning on picking up this book, but that's a huge knock against this game.
