3rd story reminds me of the server I played on Rust. Very similar rules, but the 'bad guy' faction were the War Boys (yes... named for the Mad Max villains... and yes they would scream "Witness me!" and "Mediocre!" regularly). Suffice to say, they stopped adhering to the rules pretty quickly and forced every other faction to ally against them just for survival.
The answer to the question of if freedom is real or not is the same as if the speed of light is the same in all directions. It doesn't matter. We can't measure it or make any kind of meaningful declaration of something that would be different if it were true or false.

Most introverts knowingly or unknowingly analyze human behavior and that feeling of "I don't think I can trust them" is born from putting together all the pieces of human behavior and seeing all the red flags without knowing you have seen them. This feeling will never fail you, if you're an introvert. If you feel like someone is just "wrong" in some way. A little bit off. Not worthy of trust... They aren't. None of their behavior jives with what it SHOULD be if they are trustworthy. If you ignore this feeling and trust someone anyway... you're going to be disappointed in yourself when you are betrayed or find yourself in a ton of drama you didn't want. I'm not even sure why people think, "Oh, they've been my friend for X amount of months/years, they're trustworthy!". No, they aren't. The world is full of people performing "the long con". Marriages are full of that sort of thing. It is woefully commonplace. Earn trust and then get what they wanted and who cares about you? People don't ever "become trustworthy". They are either trustworthy from the start, or aren't ever trustworthy. Most of these people never change from one to the other. It is nearly impossible to do so as it is a personality trait.
