Re-listening after 2 years. Epic. Oceanic. Deep. Vast expanse. Can't be compared with dazzling jewels from AK or BGK's improvisations. Simple, straight. Mayn't be suited to the taste of modern audience.But immortal like VK's in sitar. I didn't have the fortune of hearing this raga from his celebrated uncle in live performance, but he opens a glimpse of that great depth and breadth. It's like Mahabharata or Iliad, you listen, re-listen and discover the divine Unknown. This is for connoisseurs.
@Blandings Castle Yes its deep and resonant but the comparison with BGA and AK is not quite as of two different styles. BG also sang Baju Band Khulu...does one need to say more!
