    We like to think of her as our voice of reason up here in Maine. We all have been graced with her clarity of vision and her recollection of the past. She places puzzle pieces in a series that lends enlightenment that we might never have been able to see.

      Thank you, Heather. I very much feel like you in your description of being a Lincoln Republican and a conservative. I realized when Reagan was president that I really didn't believe in what the Republicans stood for, after trickle down tax cuts and the firing of striking air traffic controllers, among other things. I also didn't quite fit as a Democrat.

      Me too. Have learnt so much from her about US history and politics.
      She has so much insight in to the reasons that the US finds itself in this awful divided position it is today.
      The country has always survived Republican and Democrat governments before, without tearing itself to bits.
      But Trump is an aberration. His lies and hatred has literally torn families and the country apart.
      It will be a disaster if he is reelected.

    I always get something new when I read the writings of, or listen to interviews with Dr. Richardson. She frequently confirms what I've seen through the years, and echos so many of my own concerns. I sometimes feel people aren't seeing it, because they seem blithely unconcerned. This troubles me deeply. Thank you for interviewing her, and for the great questions! We need more of the public to be exposed to the troubles we are experiencing, and she's one of the very best when it comes to enlightening all of us about the dangerousness of this moment in time.

The point I want to make is, that when the United Empire Loyalists attacked the White House In 1812, not only did they give The First Lady time to remove personal belongings, and they did not enter the property with a British Flag.

      For me, Reagan, himself, was grounds for worry. A mediocre actor, who got celebrated for his wooden delivery but mastery of memorizing his lines, does NOT equal any kind of leadership talent. This man, whose family was saved by the new deal, a cornerstone of which was support for the idea of labor unions, did all that he could to shackle them! I found him an affront! Sometimes, I feel like she's the only voice of wisdom, coupled with impeccable knowledge of US History and thereby has extraordinary ability to read what is happening and the direction we are heading. And no, she is neither of the present-day Republican or Democrat, but of a politic that would usher this country towards the ideals of the wise, compassionate but pragmatic leaders that helped shape the US to be the best in the world. The polling re the current upcoming election certainly isn’t reflecting this sweep away from Trump; God how I wish it were. I appreciate Heather so much and the background she ties together with current events.

    Thank you so much! It was SO frustrating to hear the dismissal of the Biden’s contributions in his 3+ years. And I am SO GLAD he negotiated the shift to Kamala.

    • @garyrochussen3430
      @garyrochussen3430 หลายเดือนก่อน

      And Biden has accomplished so much in those 3+ years. Unfortunately, he has done much of it with very little recognition. His economic projects alone are extraordinary!

    What she said at the end really touched me. And it's sparked the awareness that in many countries around the world, she would be at least jailed if not killed for what she does. Think about that. She's really able to do this because she lives in a free society, with a rule of law that still works most of the time

    Did we ever have a democracy? In my lifetime (I'm 71) it has seemed a hell of a lot more like a nation run by corporations, the military, sickeningly rich people and racists. And that started long before my time.
