      Thank you!
      Working with skateboard wood is super fun. Most are of high quality and turn really well to reveal unusual color patterns. Michael

      MVT, Thank you! That was a fun project to work on! I've got another stack of used skateboards sitting in the shop for another colorful project.

    A trip down memory lane indeed! Nice photos! We should build a ramp in the backyard and buy some boards!

    Great bowl, Michael! Carbides definitely work better on skateboard blanks!

      Thanks for tuning in! Either carbides or regularly sharpened conventionals can work. I’m now gathering additional boards for the next bowl. Cheers!

    Where can I purchase 1 or 2 of these?

      I’m sorry these bowls are not for sale. You might try ETSY for other turners. Thanks for watching. Cheers Michael

    That Mylands Friction Polish like a sanding paste?

    • @SapperWoodworking
      @SapperWoodworking  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! Although I’ve only had mixed results using it. Thanks for watching. Michael

      I use Titebond III for most of my projects. Thanks for watching!

    That’s an amazing bowl. Curious how the idea came to you if you don’t mind me asking. I smacked that subscribe button because of this idea.

      The process was my own making but I've seen pictures of other artwork people have made from old skateboards so it seemed like a natural progression to laminate up some boards and turn a bowl with the grain direction (and colors) oriented vertical. Thanks for watching!
