Low cost Bonsai ($6)

Can Bonsai be created from plants as cheap as 6 USD? In this video we create a small Spruce (Picea abies) from Christmas tree stock of about 5 years old. The video shows the progression of the tree over 3 years time!

I got a Fukien Tea on clearance at walmart for $7.00. They hadn't watered it for a while and it was dying. I put it in the cart and watered it from my drinking cup. It bounced back beautifully after a repotting/root pruning/leaf and branch pruning/wiring. I did all of that at the same time. Well worth the investment.

Well, thats hard to get rid of really. A sacrificial lower branch would help.

My cheapest is a 2,99€ juniper. Put it in a plastic Training pot for 1,50€
