Well I’m certainly happy that my effort shows! The toughest part was figuring out how to make the best use of new habs that I hadn’t used yet. The unconventional build techniques using partial-sized structural elements was a task as well, such as the tail of the ship, and the area just behind the bridge. Mods really remove a lot of vanilla limitations, and that enables us to build more complex ships. I’m a fan of the growing potential of the ship builder for sure, I just hope that Bethesda is working on a whole suite of new ship modules.
Hey brother, I wanted to say this is my first modded follow along. The way you have the habs laid is by far my favorite to date! My only issue was I had problems with the SmS(F) expansion mod. I was able to flip the radiators the same way after I disabled the mod but I had to leave out the wings. But still a stellar build!! Keep this stuff coming!

Greetings Wizard, a particularly sleek build there for sure. I'd like to see a magical, or wizardly take on options for a balanced build that can be used to take any ship from level 2 to 76 without destroying it instantly, while still being capable of meeting any end-game challenge at extreme difficulty in post NG+10 universes, all while staying within the stock C-class energy and weapon count limits. Despite playing the game from the beginning, I still haven't found the best, survivable weapon balance that also allows for maximum close-range fun in space combat.
My vanilla ships would be just what you need, particularly the Scythe, Helion, and Omen. Making it through Extreme difficulty mostly depends on pilot skill.
Another amazing build! Appreciate the sunken Cabot bridge; been wanting a Cabot bridge up top for a while. Took me a minute to figure out the bay 😂As always, you give me a foundation I can use in my next build!
The screendoor landing bay hatch made the raised center fuselage possible, but it does feel crude to me. I still would love a raised landing bay with an elevator that you use to enter the ship. Wouldn’t even need to be animated, could just have a button to interact and initiate the entry. As long as it retracts when you’re inside the ship, that would work perfectly.

That’s why I installed Dark Universe: Crossfire. It adds numerous new space encounters and dramatically increases how many space POI’s spawn in any system. Makes space travel much more exciting. Much of the combat showcase for the Prisma is footage from some of those encounters. Thanks for watching!
Another great build! I like to RP build myself. I tend to build the cargo bay and infirmary at landing bay level. The reason being if you were carrying unwieldy cargo, or if you had to carry someone onboard using a stretcher, those tiny lifts (or ladders) would be a major hindrance. The brig would also potentially fall into this category. I generally try to use stairs or ramps instead of lifts/elevators. Those tiny lifts look cool but they are not made for moving a lot of people quickly in an emergency situation.
Yeah, I try to approach every build in a similar fashion. Sometimes though, like with the Prisma, I had to make certain compromises to achieve my vision. One of the key design features is the raised center fuselage, and that is only possible currently with that ‘screendoor’ entry hatch. You could easily substitute the Deimos landing bay with little additional change. Or you could use the hatch-entry Ship Bed bay, and then you can have your infirmary just inside. As for substituting the lift, you’re on your own there haha.
@@WizeOldWizard Yeah. Sadly the 1x1x3(4,5) stairs aren't great in any mod I've found so far. But I think that's more a limitation of the available space than the mod makers fault.
Yeah I have tried the vertical stairwells and they are too limiting for me. The lifts are a better alternative. Only way to find other techniques or hab combinations is to try different things. Every one of my modded builds have different methods for traversing between decks.

@@WizeOldWizard Yeah, I'm forced to agree. Personally, I would classify it as... I don't know... A fast attack corvette? A heavy frigate? Heavy patrol ship?
I considered corvette, but then this is the longest ship that I’ve built. For the classification ranges that I’m using, super destroyer made the most sense to me. Also helps me remember roughly how big these ships are haha.
Another massive ship. !!!! Nice my lord! So asking for a friend who won the ship build? I have taken so many of your ships with the help from bane and have made them the flip glitch and the designs are so great thank you sir!!!
I haven’t tried that myself, but my assumption is that it may not have enough room to illuminate that space effectively. I do like using a Matilija shield booster in my cores as that gives off an ambient purple glow. Try the spotlights and see if they’ll work!
I love most of your work but there is one thing I don't understand. Why are you using such small weapons for such a big ship? Wouldn't it be more immersive if this kind of ship had a dedicated heavy ordnance department, hardpoints for cannons, torpedo bays, and automated turrets for point defense purposes? I know that Starfield is limited in such applications but I would love to see your take on creating a ship that feels like being operated by a crew rather than a giant fighter jet.
This ship is very fast and nimble, and doesn’t need turrets, which are really the only way to make a ship’s operation feel crew-dependent. I installed turrets on the Kronos and Typhon, and I wanted to try out the baddest ass missiles that I can get: the DarkStar Micro Nukes. Those are as close to torpedos as you could get, and I amped them up by using 6x as many as you normally could, making them feel more like devastating torpedos. As for the other guns, for me the physical size matters little, as long as they look like they fit their mounting location. You can use those giant Matilija cannons if you want, but they’re significantly less effective in combat compared to DarkStar weapons.
I’m curious why you need to be a certain level to build this even if you have piloting lvl 4 and starship design lvl 4. I’m only level 49 but I would love to build this, is it really mandatory for me to get up to level 93 before attempting this or if it’s just a couple parts I could swap them out for something else?
You could, theoretically, build this at nearly any level. But, like I stated in the requirements section; if you want to build the Prisma EXACTLY as I do… Then you’ll need to be at least that level. The reason for that high level requirement is for the top-tier DarkStar reactor, engines, weapons, etc. You’re totally free to build this at your level, you’ll just have to make some substitutions.
Of course not! You’ll be somewhat limited with certain things, such as the amount of core components that you can equip. On PC, I can use as many reactors, shields, and weapons that I want, but you can’t change that on Xbox. I would still use Darkstar, use the 60 or 62 power reactor, use 6 of the same engines, and then complete your engine stacks with decorative engines. Then for the weapons, use vanilla weapons with the mod 18 Ship Weapons. That mod will do nothing to increase the damage of weapons that normally have a power of 2, but for weapons that normally need 4 power, that mod allows you to place twice as many of those. Don’t skip the Prisma Build Requirements portion of the video.
I love the recessed bridge and the Intrinity ship parts. Gonna have to try this build with some substitutions (Owl Tech) of course. I’ll be checking your Discord for your load order. Also, what is your opinion of Nexus Mods Manager? The reason I ask is I’ve never had to manage mods before, because of the genre of games I play, mostly Civilization. Thanks in advance.
When I switched to PC from Xbox, I started using Vortex as my mod manager and I really like it. If you’re someone that wants the ability to easily load different mod sets for different characters or whatever reason, I think Mod Organizer 2 is better for that. But for me, Vortex works perfectly, because I figure out which mods that I like and just keep them installed for all of my playthroughs. I will post my load order today, and if you run into problems we can help you work them out.
I have a ship build request. i've slowly been building ships based on the ship they're based on. i built a cromson fleet destroyer, a razorleef worthy of legend, and a ship worthy of the greatest explorer in the galaxy. but i have been unable to come up with any good ideas for a "pride of the UC" kind of build. would love to see you build one, maybe it would give me and others some ideas
In my opinion, the Kronos would fit this criteria very well. With a few minor changes, you can make it basically all Deimos, and it’s already built around Poseidon engines. I dislike branding my ships as specific to any one faction, because I like to leave that choice up to my viewers. Thanks for watching!
Hahah well if you’ve built any of my other modded ships, or any other large ones for that matter, it shouldn’t be any worse at least. Thanks for watching!
No problem! I was just thinking that I didn’t jump to somewhere else after I placed them, I did it right after, because it would have been confusing to place them and then come back to attach the cap and radiator later. If you didn’t notice that there are two parts merged on each side just behind the bridge, then I must have done an ok job of tying it together. Thanks for watching!
I really like the look of this ship, if you’re looking to fly a big monster. You’re not kidding about that lame captains cabin though. To me, the Stroud Premium Edition cabin or even the little 1x1 Graf’s Nova captains cabin beats that one, haha.
It might be big, but it handles like a fighter. And yeah, damnit, I totally forgot about Stroud Premium. I hadn’t seen the Luxurious Habs yet though so I figured I’d try it out.
I tried to build this ship but every time I would use a Deimos wing part the ship builder would crash. I have all the mods and I'm on PC. Not sure what's going on. Thanks for you hard work though.
If you join my Discord, I have my full, load-ordered mod list. I use LOOT in Vortex, so it automatically orders them according to their meta data. You can use that as a reference to arrange your mods.
Honestly I quit building once mods hit it just became too much trying to get mods to play together without breaking shit. But this thing… this is absolutely worth the effort. Haven’t lost a step man.
Oh man thank you!! I’m such a noob to this mods stuff, just trying to learn as I go. In the middle of building this thing now, pdy is kinda cool never used it before glad you’re so step by step tho 😂
I love PDY, it’s a game-changer for building ships. Does take some getting used to but once you conquer the initial hurdle, it’s a superior way to build.
It isn’t needed to build your version of the ship, it’s needed if you want to use exactly the same core components as I do. If you’re still in your original universe, you’ll just have to choose the best reactor, shield, and weapons that you have available at your level.
@@WizeOldWizard I see, that's why the same pieces don't appear here, even the ones from the mods haha. But it's great, I made it last night, and it's already in use, congratulations on your creativity. We're waiting for more models hehe
Suggestion for bedding based on your description in the vid; check out the SPE living habs. There are sepcific habs with nothing but beds 7 other with way better configurations than any of the vanilla ones including constellation companion specific living habs. All od the Stroud premium edition habs are nice
@pragmaticeagle4832 good to know. I’m not really that concerned with bed count as it matters none, I was just explaining why I used All-in-Ones instead of Living Quarters. Thanks for watching!
You can use a traditional landing bay if you want. Just use a 4-level lift and drop another deck below the one that my docker is attached to. Or you could use a ladder-entry-style bay that you can straight up attach to the same attachment point. I just wanted my fuselage to be lifted up in the center, so the screendoor is really just the same as a ladder-entry bay, but without all the stuff around the hatch.
Yeah man, so the way it works is that the words you put in the title, description, tags, and in the dialogue of the actual video all contribute to the video appearing in search results. I use words that describe my builds, so that they’re easier to find. I’ve never been on Temu, but I’m familiar with ebay and Amazon. I’m sure that an item’s title impacts how easy it is to find in a search on Temu just like other online marketplaces. Hope that helps!
Respect for still playing Starfield. I can't stand it anymore. My expectations were so high and they still are because No Man's Sky did an uno-reverse card on their game, so I expected the same to happen to Starfield.... Unfortunate
@ganjavinchi while I do hope that Bethesda is going to add some great stuff still, No Man’s Sky isn’t a reasonable comparison to make. It is an entirely different game in terms of game loops and style, and focuses almost solely on exploration. Starfield has many built-in systems wrapped into one game that many other titles only have one of. Your opinion of the game aside, the scope of Starfield is very impressive, as is the player’s freedom to express their creativity in multiple ways.
I still play Starfield and whilst not as heavily as I did when I first got it, I still enjoy it. It’s still a great game in its own right. I don’t compare it to other space based rpg’s as it’s not really comparable. To me it’s fallout in space and that’s what I was looking for. It ain’t perfect but it’s still a fun game and with Wizard’s help I’m building quite a nice collection of kick-@ss ships 👍😎
So nms has all the rpg elements to it? Can we build our own ships? Hell are the ship designs even half as detailed as Starfield? Are there varied pois to find on planets? Are there factions, side stories, main story ? No to all, so don't even compare, nms is a space sim, Starfield is an rpg set in space, how hard is it to get that through to your smooth brains?
@@amitansurkar1769 One of the most recent updates for NMS let us build our own ships. And yes, those ships are not so detailed as the ones in Starfail, but who cares? At least none of the ships available in NMS have those annoying ladders on them. The problem with Starfield is it is too much repetitive and boring: we have the same stupid mini-game in _all_ the alien temples; we have the same points of interest in all planets ( including those that _supposedly never should have being touched by human presence._ ); the companion AI is moronic and their dialogie, written by an amateur and the main questline is lame. So yeah, comparing NMS with Starfield makes no sense. It would be better to compare it with Mass Effect.
Honestly, it's actually really hard to find decent ship build guides, that aren't some stupidly OP, modded-monstrocity... Building "high performance" ships, when you can dump a bajillion engines, reactors, and even more guns onto them, is really not an achievement, I'm sorry to say...
Opinions are like assholes, everyone’s got em, and I never asked for yours… Before using mods, I built a whole fleet of vanilla ships. I got bored with the strict limitations and wanted to expand what was possible. Also, I play on extreme difficulty AND employ several other mods that are specifically meant to further increase the difficulty of ship combat. In my game, if I underestimate my opponents, they can still take me out in a ship like this. So before you go crying about ‘stupidly OP ships’, consider those facts as well. I invite you to install those mods and try using the absolute best vanilla ship you can muster. You’ll be humbled really quick.
AWESOME, thank you for this. Sometimes I get bored with starfield, but I’ve been getting deeper and deeper into the ship building systems. Super satisfying to create what I want. Awesome video 👍🏻, haha you made an SR 71 blackbird on steroids.

As for the other guns, for me the physical size matters little, as long as they look like they fit their mounting location. You can use those giant Matilija cannons if you want, but they’re significantly less effective in combat compared to DarkStar weapons.
I’m curious why you need to be a
certain level to build this even if you have piloting lvl 4 and starship design lvl 4.
Thank you so much is it only 4 pc?
I know for a fact that my xbox is going to have a heart attack loading this...
Hahah well if you’ve built any of my other modded ships, or any other large ones for that matter, it shouldn’t be any worse at least.
Thanks for watching!
Amazing build! But whatfore are the Avontech Beams??
Did you pause the video before seeing what I attached to them?
@@WizeOldWizard LOL - no, but it took some time until I checked the idea. Sorry!
@@WizeOldWizard Vasco cannot enter the ship 😄
Oh I think he’s had his teleportation suite updated, he’ll be aight.
It’s more than likely a load order issue that has to do with Better Flips/Snaps. Are you using Vortex to manage your mods?
Same here but on xbox. What's the proper load order
If you join my Discord, I have my full, load-ordered mod list. I use LOOT in Vortex, so it automatically orders them according to their meta data. You can use that as a reference to arrange your mods.
Dammmmmmnnnnnnn….its been awhile
Life just hits hard sometimes. Some shit came up. I might take a hiatus here and there, but I’m no quitter.
What do you think of the Prisma?
Honestly I quit building once mods hit it just became too much trying to get mods to play together without breaking shit. But this thing… this is absolutely worth the effort. Haven’t lost a step man.
I’ll post my load order in the Discord and you can use it as reference.
Stroud Large Stair 4? What mod is that?
It’s called Ship Extension
Again, an incredible ship.
But please answer one question for me, because it requires NG+
What’s your question?
@@WizeOldWizard Why is NG+ needed to build?
It isn’t needed to build your version of the ship, it’s needed if you want to use exactly the same core components as I do. If you’re still in your original universe, you’ll just have to choose the best reactor, shield, and weapons that you have available at your level.
@@WizeOldWizard I see, that's why the same pieces don't appear here, even the ones from the mods haha.
But it's great, I made it last night, and it's already in use, congratulations on your creativity. We're waiting for more models hehe
Damn man, have you already built my other ships that you like? I’ve got nearly two fleets worth of builds…
But, don’t worry! More are on the way.
Damn.
Thanks for watching!
hmmm I think this will replace the Citadel...
The Prisma can absolutely fill the same role, and do it much better too.
Thanks for all of your support!
The only thing annoying me about this build is the absence of a real landing bay. Other than that, this build is pretty cool.
Always having issues with the view of my big ship its annoying as hell
You mean while flying in 3rd-person? You need a ship camera mod. The one that I use is called Flight Camera Fix.
@WizeOldWizard ah thanks !!
Bro is this a youtube video or a temu listing with that title

Unfortunate
While Bethesda keep using the Creation Engine, a decent remake of Starfield never will be possible.
