Thank you! It chews through everything with ease and does so in style. With this ship, I feel absolutely no need to even build a home base. This is way more luxurious and comfortable with that Fortuna hab. Maybe I’ll take a shot at decorating it…
Outstanding work once again. I've been waiting for a build that uses the Fortuna hab. I'm currently enjoying the Kronos but I'm definitely building this today. I am a little dissapointed however that, this being a multi deck ship, you didn't use Magilja's elevator habs. Still a 10 out of 10.
Those elevators weren’t in the mod when I built it. Why go out of your way to express disappointment about something before considering how long a ship like this takes to develop? I started building it soon after the Fortuna Ship Habs were uploaded, and built the ship around that. Also, I tried using the Avontech elevator, but those suck. They add a loading screen to the inside of your ship, they look completely out of place, not to mention they’re bug-ridden. Maybe the bugs have been worked out but they still just stick out like a sore thumb next to the vanilla aesthetic. Thanks for watching?
Another great one, definitely going to figure out how to work this one into the fleet/RP. have you looked at the Trident Luxury Workshop and REV-8 hangar? Seems like it’d fit into the opulence of the Typhon with the Fortuna hab.
I’m currently running a poll on my community page, feel free to offer your thoughts on this exact topic over there. Currently, 76% have voted against downloadable ships. Those that have left comments have offered some very valuable insight. Thanks for watching!
Haven't been in the game in a while but I love your videos and showcasing of ships, mods and parts. Which mod manager are you using, when I used Nexus's I had a few errors with doors manually working like you did placing. Great video I followed your steps but the mods such as engine, reactor, shild limit are not working for me Also installed the req mods for these mods I installed all mods through vortex
It’s likely due to load order, but without seeing your active mods and load order, I can’t be much help. The mods do work, if you can’t get them working you can join my Discord and we can help you much more effectively.
If I hey do not use this ship in a movie they are idiots! This is like a fleet admirals ship , command ship. A new battlestar! Something out of stargate! If the UC does not get this they will loose! Great o m g huge build. You are still the ship god of starfield. My lord!
No man need bow to me, I am a man of the people. Thanks for watching my good man! I hope you build this yourself, I’d love to see a video that includes your commentary on the Typhon. Also, have you entered a ship to the Battle of the Builders yet??
Excellent! Not sure if you’ve watched the Kronos yet, but I pinned an Xbox mod list in the comments that contains suitable alternative mods on Xbox that can allow you to build ships like this. Just an FYI. Thanks for watching!
@@WizeOldWizardyeah I actually managed to build the Kronos with no real issues to be fair. The only issue I will have with this one is needing to use decorative engines and weapons. Plus I'll have to wait for my next trip through the unity so I can drop some mods and reorganise.
@chriswhite3692 Ship Building Tweaks. Check my response to your comment on the Kronos video. The habs come from individual mods of the same name. Listed in the description.
This vessel must be reaching the absolute limit of landable shipbuilding in Starfield at this point. Technically, huge vessels like the Vigilance (the closest to the concept of a "Dreadnought" in the SF universe) aren't technically able to land on planets and mods that have enabled players the use of and ability to land those monsters have inevitable glitching issues whilst landed. Perhaps the next step for the modding community is going to be a plethora of designs for a class of super-capital ships that aren't designed to land, but must be docked with in orbit remotely via a smaller craft. Such a vessel could only be built at some kind of custom starstation, instead of an outpost landing bay. Not sure if such a concept is even workable yet though, it's an ambitious task.
You hit the nail on the head, and that was exactly my goal with the Typhon; how far can I push the boundaries of ship-building as it pertains to ships that need to land on planets. I’ve also been saying what you mentioned for a long time! We need access to ships which cannot land and therefore require a ship closer to vanilla dimensions to use as a ‘shuttle’. That would be incredible. Thanks for watching!
The fortuna habs almost never seem to have crew in them which bothers me enough to not use them unfortunately but I like the overall design I might downscale it a bit if I build it myself
No kidding? That's actually good news to me, as I'm using that hab as a captain's quarters, and I've always wished that your crew would stay out of it unless it's your companion. It would be nice to be able to "assign" someone as like a bartender and maybe a guard or two, definitely wish I could assign guards to the brig offices. I'm thinking of how Fallout 4 worked, with the settler stations that you could assign them to. Change it as you will! My aim is primarily to inspire other builders so your specific choices are totally up to you. Thanks for watching!
Where do you build this? I cannot find a vendor with a simple door that faces the front of the ship….can only find side facing doors…and cannot find ladders…
One of my main gripes with ships like this, is that when you land at akila you spawn INSIDE one of the habs, and cant run forward/back. youre forced to teleport back into the city, and before you could do that youd have to fast travel back into your ship and exit manually. someone needs to make a mod that MOVES your spawns at landing pads
Negative ghost rider. Because this landing bay faces rear and is exactly in the middle of the pad, and because the habs that are placed above you when you spawn are one full unit above you, I haven’t experienced that anywhere. Including Akila.
Hey Wiz! I've followed this guide to the letter, but I can't finish it. The ship size mod that you use isn't working for me. Up to 65m, the size is ok, but as soon as I place an object that ticks it up to 66m, I get a size error. The mod states that the new size should be 70. I'm not sure how to finish this build. Please help!
This ship is 132m long, but the game measures from the midpoint. What you’ll end up with in the builder will be 66m fore and 66m aft. The mod that I WAS using for the Kronos had a limit of 65m fore and aft (130m total) but that’s not the mod that I linked… Or did I overlook that? Shit. I will check the link. Edit: Yes, the link provided is not right. I will fix it tomorrow. Thank you for pointing this out!
I have a playlist of Vanilla-only builds if you don’t want to use mods. Though I do recommend using mods, they dramatically increase the possibilities.
Closest vanilla build to this is the Basilisk II. The Typhon is 50m over than the vanilla size limit, and 18m too wide, meaning the proportion of this ship would be impossible to replicate in vanilla. The ship would be much too short to retain the height of the Typhon, and that would, in turn, make the central fuselage much wider visually. The width would be reduced in a way that would exactly match how the Basilisk was built, so at that point that’s basically the ship you’d end up with. If you haven’t seen that one, it’s been my most popular build by far and away. A modded version is coming soon too…
@@WizeOldWizard I really like those stairs, I wasn't aware of the elevators, I'll have to check into them. Ladders suck unless you have the right boost on your jetpack and that being you don't have ladders aligned on top of each other.
@Babyboomer_59 for this specific ship, it would be tough to package stairs, ladders made the most sense. Getting habs around the Fortuna hab in a sensible way was a huge challenge.
@@WizeOldWizard Truth be told, I didn't stay to watch the whole video, I didn't know you have the Fortuna in it. I have to commend your video on one thing though and that is you very rarely used the word "Hum" if any at all, Most SF youtubers I listen to seem to use that word in every sentence and it just annoys the crap out of me so much that I leave the channel.
And maybe not right away and your a and some of your B Class ships but in the letter B ships and the C-Class ships you should have that option of switching from a cockpit to a full-blown Bridge
There is at least one mod out there that allows the use of as many cockpits/bridges you want, and I believe they all function correctly no matter which one you choose to use.
I'm trying to build this ship and I'm going into the Xbox mods and the only ones I'm having trouble finding are the no limits categories, engines so forth. I did find engines rebalanced which adds engines with 180 speed will that work?
I don't own an Xbox, so I can't check mods myself. The best advice I can give you is to check the pinned comment on my Kronos build guide. That contains a list of Xbox mods that serve as suitable alternatives to the ones that are only available on PC. The mods required for this ship are identical to the ones needed for Kronos, with the addition of the Fortuna Ship Habs mod. The mods that I use to remove the maximum power limits require Starfield Script Extender, which is not compatible with the Xbox version of the game.
And I will let you know if it worked or not I got most of them just love your shift designs the way you go about it the way you explain it to us all is so awesome,,!
@@WizeOldWizard you are the shiznit like I said before you are the Bob Ross of ship building! You are so patient and so kind and what I surmise as a very good person!
Not that this game is like star citizen but this ship could be a commercial style ferry or luxury transport ship based off the interior and overall style and bulkyness of it
If you’re saying the Typhon looks like it belongs in SC, that’s a great compliment, thank you! I love Star Citizen, but it doesn’t have scratch-built ships.
@WizeOldWizard yeah star citizen is cool but building ships for me personally is definitely more entertaining and yes I think your ship would definitely look amazing in sc

I'm still waiting for the mod that lets you sit in the captain's chair and your MPC pilots fly the ship. As well as perform simple combat maneuvers based on your level Cadillac Star Trek bridge command
There is a mod for that, it’s included in one or more of the mods that allow you to call your ship to land near to your location. It’s an autopilot feature, so it has nothing to do with any NPC crewmates, but still has the functionality you’re looking for.
@@WizeOldWizard when I have a huge ship with a lot of crew but I'm still the pilot I haven't see that in many if any of Syfy tropes or books that I've read and so that makes it kind of immersion breaking for me.
There is one that’s literally called ‘Call Your Ship’ but that’s the only name I can remember specifically, not sure if that’s the one with autopilot or not, like I said there are more than one. I only have a few mods from Creations, and I’m on PC so I do my mod searching on Nexus. Why wouldn’t an AI autopilot make sense when humans in the Starfield universe have figured out faster than light travel? I think that seems entirely feasible.
Best advice I can give you, because I don’t own an Xbox, is to join my Discord. We have several Xbox players that can help you out with your mods. You’re likely crashing due to an incorrect load order or mod conflicts.
Thank you wizard, id like to join a group to share ideas how do i apply? Great build the hab layout on the typhon is awesome. Its a great build going to be a mission doing a custom interior in this baby...monster! I found the problem it could be linked to multiple mods, mod list order but it was simply the amount of stuff/information/modules on my ship, c class razorleaf custom. Regards reg
*What Happened During the Miranda Lowell Trial?* All Your Questions Answered We're sorry, but due to technical difficulties, we were completely unable to bring you the full coverage of the trial that sealed the fate of billionare Nathaniel "Quasar" Stockon up until this point. That is, until said difficulties have been resolved today! So without further ado... Quasar arrived at New Atlantis on 03:00 AM Standard Earth Time on the Omen, bringing with him a pair of Ecliptic bodyguards as well as Oxhorn Lines board director Diana "Nebula" Stone and head of security Manson Deele "Cosmo" Around the same time, Atlas' family and friends arrived just outside New Atlantis' outside entrance gate, having been escorted to the court's entrance by Starfreight Logistics staff. Jonathan "Atmosphere" Wilson, Atlas' ex-boyfriend and Nebula's new boyfriend, arrived a little late at 03:11 AM. On our way to the courtroom, one of our correspondents had a small interview with him. Arriving at the entrance hall of the Interplanetary Court, both Atlas' relatives and Quasar's men met each other face to face. That eventually led to a full confrontation between the two parties, which our camera crew eventually broke up. As Quasar walked past one of the UC-appointed security guards, another confrontation happened. This next one was quite memorable as by the time we got our cameras up and running as well as recording, we came across Quasar pointing his Urban Eagle handgun at the guard, threatening to "splatter his brains all across the wall" as we were filming. We later defused that situation, and after Quasar was ordered to place his gun inside the firearm security box, we soon we made our way to the one of the courtrooms. On our way, Quasar's Ecliptic bodyguards were ordered to stay way from the courtroom by another UC security guard. The trial began at 03:43 AM, and immediately Atlas' mother Joanna Lowell started confronting the Oxhorn Lines CEO about what he had done to her only daughter. Quasar bluffed, stating that there is no room for rivalry in the freight transport industry, and that his actions were justified, if not a "little on the brutal side". Joanna responded, herself stating that if that were true, then her killing him would be justified as there is plenty of rivalry between the now-angry mother and the soon-to-be life prisoner for murder. Both the mother and the true perpetrator continued to trade blows at each other, and Nebula, upon hearing of this, told Cosmo to keep quiet until the "time is right". That time was at 04:00 AM, when Nebula and Cosmo confessed that they were the ones who secretly planned the murder, in essence becoming Quasar's accomplices. Quasar accused them of slander, but both Nebula and Cosmo quickly shown evidence, including a detailed floorplan of the Omen, with a cross at the main engineering bay; the same spot where Atlas was killed. Seeing this, Atmosphere sided with Ms. Lowell and objected to Quasar's bluffing which briefly escalated into a quick fistfight. Later, the judge ordered the two parties to quiet down, and soon things went quiet At 04:55 AM, the judge ordered Quasar, Nebula, and Cosmo to each confess to their crimes. Cosmo went first, admitting to the judge that he used his position as the head of security to distract the Omen security guard with false direct orders to keep him from reporting the murder to UC System Authority, although he said that he found out way too late that his plan had failed. Nebula was next, stating that she used her ties within Ecliptic to "rent" one of their weapons to Quasar, as according to her he didn't want to use one of his own firearms. The last one was Quasar himself. He began what can only be described as a long string of bluffs as he continued to plead innocent even when evidence was presented against him, including his own fingerprints which were found on the Urban Eagle, which he said was fake. Midway through the bluffing, he began accusing Nebula and Cosmo of treason; the two began trading blows for a brief moment. The judge ordered them to quiet down, and all three eventually went quiet. Then both Nebula and Cosmo were pardoned; we can't say the same for Quasar though, as the judge ruled him guilty for first degree murder. As the trial concluded, Atlas' parents and grandparents were seen crying tears of joy as Quasar was escorted out of the courtroom and into what we assume is a prison shuttle that is headed for the UC-Freestar Joint Prison Complex at the desolate former home of humanity that is Earth. As of the writing of this article, Atmosphere wrote in his blog that he felt delighted that the "bad man" has been finally given what he had deserved since this "rollercoaster of events" had started. In her own blog Nebula stated that she will "bring Oxhorn Lines back on track" and prevent further unfair rivalry between them and Starfreight Logistics. Furthermore, Atlas' socialite friends were revealed to have held a livestreamed watchalong of our TV broadcast, and cheered when Quasar was convicted guilty of first degree murder. We have reached out to both Starfreight Logistics and Oxhorn Lines for their thoughts regarding the trial, and neither have responded to our calls. We also attempted to get in contact with the families of each of the parties involved, including that of Atlas, and so far they were the ones who responded to our interview. We will publish those interviews soon. -Settled Times, Wednesday 27th of November, 2330
Damnit! Not just a game crash but a complete system crash? I guess I’m to blame for console abuse thanks to these big ships haha. That’s part of the reason that I suggest reaching certain points and exiting the builder to make a save or two along the way.
This ship was built around the Fortuna hab, which is 6x3x3. It has one single point of entry, at the front center of the module, and the use of that hab is what drove the shape. Sure, it isn’t sleek, but not every ship needs to be. This one is an exercise in brutalism and impact. I do not approach all of my builds in the same way. Check out my Peregrine, Aetos, Aegis, or Basilisk builds if you’re looking for a sleeker design.
I like of the combat, the soundtrack and the ship building mechanics in Starfield. But I abhor the exploration. Seeing the same old points of interest being repeated over and over _ad infinitum_ is boring. Add to that the dumb main quest, the annoying perk system and that stupid mini-game in the alien temples and you have a promising game ruined by the sheer incompetence of its own developer.
@@WizeOldWizard It's easy to be bitter when a game that promised so much delivered so little. 😥 *_P.S:_* sorry for my English. It's not my native language and my knowledge of it is pretty rusted.
@rosesareredbutzerglingssti9290 you have every right to be disappointed. The game has received well deserved criticism, but it is also over hated. I haven’t been bored with it once, but I spend most of my time seeking my own adventures, building ships, and looking for space combat.
I see you on almost every bethesda related video just spouting hate. You have a really strange obsession. You clearly have not liked a bethesda product since skyrim and yet you are completely obsessed with them. Get a hobby for the love of God. You have too much free time.
@@subjectdelta17 It's not a obsession. It's infuriating to see a company responsible for successes like Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim doing dumb things like cancelling the sequel for the original Prey (Prey 2), naming an unrelated game "Prey" and releasing, releasing Fallout 76 in a unfinished state and transforming what looked like a promising game (Starfield) in a extremely boring experience. Unlike you, I'm not a damn sheep.
Yes, that was the first thing about building ships that had me confused and left me with no real answers. The option to auto-generate or manually place would have been the perfect compromise.

This is amazing! Building this today!
Excellent! Please share your critique/opinion after you complete the ship. I live for the feedback.
Excellent work again!
Thanks for watching again!
Another great one, definitely going to figure out how to work this one into the fleet/RP. have you looked at the Trident Luxury Workshop and REV-8 hangar? Seems like it’d fit into the opulence of the Typhon with the Fortuna hab.
I have and I will absolutely use the hangar hab in a future build! That mod was not available when I built the Typhon.
Thanks for watching!
I (and many others im sure) would love it if you shared in the creation club.
I’m currently running a poll on my community page, feel free to offer your thoughts on this exact topic over there.
Currently, 76% have voted against downloadable ships. Those that have left comments have offered some very valuable insight.

Haven't been in the game in a while but I love your videos and showcasing of ships, mods and parts. Which mod manager are you using, when I used Nexus's I had a few errors with doors manually working like you did placing. I'd like to come back and try it, would you be willing to showcase your mod manager, loadout so players could have as much fun as you do? Thank you Wizard.
I’ve been thinking about making some mod review type videos to show people what I’m using. I have footage captured already too.
Thanks for watching!
Great video
I followed your steps but the mods such as engine, reactor, shild limit are not working for me
Also installed the req mods for these mods
I installed all mods through vortex
It’s likely due to load order, but without seeing your active mods and load order, I can’t be much help. The mods do work, if you can’t get them working you can join my Discord and we can help you much more effectively.
hi love your build ^^ btw is auto turrets good to use now? how about missile? ^^
The DarkStar turrets are great. The vanilla ones are the same, still meh and not nearly as effective.
Wait! That's no moon! Nice build
Ha! Way cooler than a boring moon.
Thanks for watching!
@@WizeOldWizard it will be in soon my lord!
Can’t wait!
Ah nice, I will have a go at building this on Xbox at some point.
Well you definitely seem to have it figured out! Eagerly awaiting news of your results.
@@WizeOldWizard Is there an Xbox mod to allow larger ship sizes? Where do you get the Fortuna hab and Matilja habs?
Thanks. Great ship build
@chriswhite3692 Ship Building Tweaks. Check my response to your comment on the Kronos video. The habs come from individual mods of the same name. Listed in the description.
FYI, mods requiring the SFSE will not be available on xbox as it is Steam only.
PS. Still rockin' the Basilisk! 😎
The Brick 😎
Aerodynamics don’t matter in space. Brute force does.
Build a DarkStar Ship Builder or Terminus at an outpost. Everything you need is in there, assuming you have all the mods installed correctly.
@@WizeOldWizard Oh, that makes sense. Appreciate it.

Is there a scaled down version of this ship that doesn't require mods?
No.
I have a playlist of Vanilla-only builds if you don’t want to use mods. Though I do recommend using mods, they dramatically increase the possibilities.
@@WizeOldWizard I just want to 100% achievements before I try mods out.
For sure! On PC there are Achievement Enabler mods but I don’t think Xbox has any.
Thanks for watching!
What mod allows you to have that many engines
No Engine Power Limit, linked in description.
Something Similar in vanilla would be amazing
Closest vanilla build to this is the Basilisk II.
The Typhon is 50m over than the vanilla size limit, and 18m too wide, meaning the proportion of this ship would be impossible to replicate in vanilla. The ship would be much too short to retain the height of the Typhon, and that would, in turn, make the central fuselage much wider visually. The width would be reduced in a way that would exactly match how the Basilisk was built, so at that point that’s basically the ship you’d end up with. If you haven’t seen that one, it’s been my most popular build by far and away.
A modded version is coming soon too…
@@WizeOldWizard I’ll check it out just built the Vulcan today, the channel is brilliant keep it up and hope to see some more vanilla builds to 👍🏻
The only thing I would change in addition to add doors mod would be to add the steps and stairs mod thus eliminating ladders all together.
Disagree, I would choose Matilija elevators, but those weren’t in the mod when I built the ship.
@Babyboomer_59 oh I use it plenty. I try hard not to but it happens.
@@WizeOldWizard totally cool with my brother I'm going to attempt it with what I could download
And I will let you know if it worked or not I got most of them just love your shift designs the way you go about it the way you explain it to us all is so awesome,,!
Much appreciated, and thanks for watching!
It kind of reminds me of the Brutix battle cruiser from Eve Online.
Oh yeah, I can see what you’re talking about! I’ve never played, and I never would have known about that ship.
Anyone else game crash when you try to exit ship builder to save before adding weapons... Im on series X... Just cant get past it...

Also, feel free to join my Discord as well if you’d like to have a better place for discussions like this with other console players as well.
@WizeOldWizard thank you what's it called I'd like to check it out. Is it in the creations?
@WizeOldWizard TY 😊
I'll go look. I play on pc too although via GeForce Now(Tablet).
My game is crashing on shipbuilder exit can anybody help out? Seriesx

*What Happened During the Miranda Lowell Trial?*
All Your Questions Answered
We're sorry, but due to technical difficulties, we were completely unable to bring you the full coverage of the trial that sealed the fate of billionare Nathaniel "Quasar" Stockon up until this point.
Later, the judge ordered the two parties to quiet down, and soon things went quiet
At 04:55 AM, the judge ordered Quasar, Nebula, and Cosmo to each confess to their crimes.

It would be convenient with elevators in the ships, 🤨
Absolutely, been wanting elevators from the start.
I spent four hours building this and when I exited out to save it, my Xbox crashed. 🤦🏻♂️😂
Damnit! Not just a game crash but a complete system crash? I guess I’m to blame for console abuse thanks to these big ships haha.
That’s part of the reason that I suggest reaching certain points and exiting the builder to make a save or two along the way.
Looks like an ice cream sandwich.
Not a fan of how blocky ships end up looking in Starfield.
Only prob. its ugly.
Thanks for your feedback! I’ll make sure the next ship caters to your taste.
Someone’s bitter.
@@WizeOldWizard It's easy to be bitter when a game that promised so much delivered so little. 😥
*_P.S:_* sorry for my English.
Unlike you, I'm not a damn sheep.
it annoys me that we weren't giving the ability to place doors and ladders from the beginning
Yes, that was the first thing about building ships that had me confused and left me with no real answers. The option to auto-generate or manually place would have been the perfect compromise.
