Thanks! Glad you like the videos. I believe you should have good weather when you go. Lots of pollock and a few haddock. If you want cod, I recommend a jig or mackerel. The crew is amazing and I highly recommend Eastman's. They have their off days, but who doesn't? Should be a great trip.
great video ! I'm coming out on the 27th Oct. on Audrey Mae for a chartered marathon trip. Looks like mostly pollack some haddock. Glad you told me to bring mackerel for the cod and jigs. What size jigs ? I knoe cod love bright orange gulp and pollack blue fuse gulp. do you have any additional recommendations Crazyone ?
They go anywhere between an hour and a half to two hours to get to Jeffrey's Ledge (Western Gulf of Maine). It's typically between 250-350 ft deep. I try to stay at the bottom. That's where the cod usually are if you can beat the pollocks and dogs. Jigs: between 14-24oz Teasers: use neon yellow and chartreuse. The pink have been catching mackerel more than anything. If you do use chunks of mackerel, just be aware of the dogs (but you could possibly hook into a porbeagle like I did). Hope this helps. Good luck on your trip!
Like the videos. Heading out with Eastmans this Wednesday, they have great crews.

Also how deep were you fishing and how far from dock in hours ?
Why no cod
Unfortunately I only got one short this season. Last year, Icouldn't stop the keepers from hitting.
