Welcome back to #whatsstockTV Back with the F150 and this time I'm taking apart the taillights and getting them painted to match the truck. Like the headlights I use black rtv to seal them back up
@@robertberwick3514 thanks. That's why I tell customers don't watch me work because you'll be nervous at first until it starts to get close to the finished product lol
@@Anaveragef150 not this time. just cleaned it good and sprayed adhesion promotor. On something like this if anything I would only wetsand with like 400
I was a bit skeptical when I first started watching, but I can't argue with the results. Well done!

That turned out super good man 👍🏻
Thanks
@89imp03 do you think that I could put the tailights in the oven and the cover would come off?
@@willbuckner2352 I think so. Just keep an eye on it
Excellent video my boy💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
💯💯 preciate it bruh
@89imp03 Hey man if you don’t mind me asking did you use a metal disc with your rotary to cut the tail lights
No problem. Yeah i use the metal cut off wheels on these
If the guy also wanted the lens tinted how would you have done that?
I probably would've used the vht nightshade spray tint. But the best option wouldve been some of the tint film from metrorestyling
what did you use to put the lens back on with?
Black rtv silicone
Did you have to sand the chrome off or did you just spray paint over it?
I cleaned it and sprayed it with plastic primer
@@89imp03 what brand spray paint did you use?
@@cliftondavidpowell customer brought his own paint. He got it custom mixed to match his factory paint
@@89imp03 Big thanks, brotha. Nice work.
@@cliftondavidpowell no problem. Thanks
Did you use spray paint or an actual paint gun?
Spray paint
How do they look when the brake light is on ?
To be honest I haven't seen them since the owner came and picked em up
How d you pop the red reflector off
It's got some tabs holding it in place. Try to pry them off on the short side of the reflector and then pull them out
@@89imp03 what did you use for paint ?
@@Anaveragef150 I normally use duplicolor color match paint but this is some paint the owner had custom mixed at a paint shop out here
@@89imp03 did you sand before painting ?

How are they holding up? Any water in them?
Haven't heard any bad news from him yet. I sealed my Vette taillights the same way about 2 years ago and they haven't had any issues
