What are those black cap things teed off vertically above each water heater? Looks like some kind of vent or pressure relieve valve on the copper pipe? Never seen one before here where I live
The first thing I noticed was all the paint being stored so close to the water heaters. As others have commented, the green is from flux. The pans emptying to a floor with no drain? That's a true failure.
mine corroded so much at the connection I had to cut the pipe and ream it out with a screwdriver and re solder. just so I could get hot water. the house was 10 yrs old
Wow...that is just....eh...dumb. Water to the collector..then to the floor and then? Copper/steel/iron/aluminium and more... that's going to give trouble.
His videos are a promotional tool. With poor enough video or audio, people won't watch them and in that case, they have failed for their purpose. Tom has invested in tools to do inspections properly, here is no reason he can't invest in tools to make videos properly either.

You're so wrong about the corrosion on that pipe that's left over from the soldering job. Flux used in soldering causes that reaction.

They don’t have expansion tanks either. They are also required to have a flexible connection to the water supply not just hard line.

The lack of seismic straps was what I noticed at first glance and I am not even in construction. Geez!!

Have you considered getting a gimbal for your camera to stabilize it?
And possibly a personal mic, audio pickup could be improved too.
