Yeah Lincolns have had full width taillights since at least the '90s and near full width reflector bar since the '80s. I remember seeing old Continentals running around with them as a kid but I guess they went away for a while with the hiatus of the Conti.
yeah he probably understands that, it’s just that it kinda looks like it belongs more on a modern day Audi, rather than a continental. Look at the Q8 for instance
Until people stop buying so many crossover vehicles and SUVs we will never see new American sedans. The Big 3 have made up their minds already. They know what is profitable in America and it is not cars.
NOT going to happen, cars like this one from Ford were manufactured in the Hermosillo plant, now you have the "POS Bronco sport" and the "POS Maverick" RIP sedans in the USA
The only way this vehicle will return to the USA will be when the Chinese copy it and we will fall over ourselves to import the darn things. Like everything else we need or don’t need.

The Bronco and Stinger seem like the only good looking vehicles to me that aren't a crazy price (under $60k USD). Lincoln is crazy to not sell this here, I'd get it.
It’s a shame that Lincoln won’t produce even just ONE sedan for the United States market! I would trade my 2019 MKZ in for this model in a heartbeat! I bought my car brand new and I still get compliments on it four years later. As a 29-year-old male, I don’t really want a big, boxy “soccer mom” SUV as it is not my style. There is nothing more elegant, prestigious and stately looking than a gorgeous sedan floating down the road. It looks like I will headed down the Mercedes-Benz pathway the next time around.
Really wish Lincoln didn’t pull out of the sedan market in the US. The lease on my Lincoln Continental was up and still wanted a sedan so I went with a Lexus. Hopefully they reenter the market in the US especially since they have this kind of design.
How does Lincoln and other American manufacturers not understand that this is exactly what we were asking for all along??? An upscale sedan with either a hybrid, Plug-in hybrid, or Electric powertrain and all wheel drive! Instead they kept giving us rebadged Sebrings, Malibus and Fusions. I’m starting to think they intentionally killed sedans so they could force the American market to buy SUVs and charge a premium! It was well known they made more money by selling SUVs.
Ford: everyone wants crossovers and SUVs in north america now. Me: no they don't. I think ford messed up in a big way doing away with all their sedans. I mean, look at toyota and honda for example, their sedans still sell well in north america despite the SUV and crossover craze. Sure sedean sales have shrunk in north america, but not bad enough to the point where there is no reason to make sedans anymore. The fusion and focus for example were still selling decent numbers. So at the very least ford could have kept them around in north america.
I totally agree!! I have a 2018 Lincoln Mkz and thinking about switching to Cadillac in a few years due to Ford not producing anymore sedans...shame on them!
Lincoln would be the only American Car company to make the only US sedan that anyone would consider over the German, Japanese, and Korean competition and not sell it in the USA. Throw in the Twin-Turbo V6 EcoBoost and let us have it.
That is a very cool design language that they are using over there. It’s too bad that’s not global. Lincoln’s in the US could benefit greatly to have that design.
It's not being sold in any western countries because nobody over here will buy it. The sedan market here is dead and has been for a while, automakers here are dropping sedans like hot potatoes and gearing their lineups towards SUV's and pickup trucks with the occasional sports car.
It's a good looking car. Too bad they don't sell it in the US. Maybe some day again they will. If they sold this exact car in the US I bet they would sell thousands easily.
… I don’t get it… why does Lincoln think that North Americans wouldn’t buy that car? Europe and Asia always gets the best North American products in my opinion.
That is a very nice looking car. It has its own unique China Market design language. Hope that giant dash screen can be turned off, and extra hoping you don't have to watch a mini Lincoln ad every time you start the engine. Nice car.
I just don't understand why lincoln doesn't want to sell sedans in America? Not all of us want a suv or crossover! And Ford even killed Mercury. So all luxury sedans from Ford,, are basically gone. And as someone who already drives a lincoln mkz. I would buy this in a heartbeat. So it looks like I will be buying a Lexus on my next new car purchase. Instead of another Ford project.
