    Uncanny 268 is a great cover, and be sure to tell your buddy it’s a newsstand so even if it’s lower grade it’s a cool one to have.

    The Creeper!!! Yes! Loving your newfound appreciation for the quirky DC characters, we definitely have that in common! I was delighted to pick up a pretty nice copy of Showcase 73 earlier this year, and I’ll be working on his series soon also.

    That Jim Lee X-Men book is my thing man I think I have like three copies of it and I think they made a 3D version of it. Don't worry about the coverage on the second show like you said you'll be able to go back in the future You don't want angry texts from the wife lol

    Beware the creeper is so cool. Great pick up there! I have a video coming out soon with a cartoon from the 80's that's definitely a deep cut but I bet you'll remember it. Great work, Mike!

    Very cool getting that Creeper #1 for $15 and that Voltron #1 too. I had multiple copies of that Voltron years ago. I just about gave like five copies in mint never read condition. No one wanted them. I grew up Marvel & DC fan. Besides Superman, Batman and GL. I loved the Spectre, Creeper, Phantom Strange, Doom Patrol, the Metal Men, Plasticman and the Kirby, late 70's heroes. Teen Titans, Firestorm, Man-Bat, the Shadow and Ragman. All first series, Showcase 60's and 80's. DC Secret Origins series too. I always love watching your videos. I wish I could travel around and go to all these stores and cons you go to also. I can't wait to see your next videos.

    Awesome video. I loved Voltron I just couldn’t afford the lions. I have a video idea , the idea is where you keep your comics and how you store your comics shown in a video. Like your personal collection. You might have already made a video like my suggestion. I’ve gotten back into collecting comics because of your channel. I know of short boxes and long boxes, and boards with sleeves.

    • @lunchmoneycomics
      @lunchmoneycomics  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve never actually done a collection video. I always feel like I just have more interesting things to share, but I’m sure at some point I’ll inevitably do a video like that.

    Avengers #2 just does not appear at shows or in shops, truly a difficult comic to track down. I only have it in reprints but still enjoy re-reading it and find the Space Phantom to be an interesting villain.
    The Creeper is definitely strange and quirky, so much so that DC has never really known how to handle the character. Fortunately his series have all been relatively brief and therefore it's easy to collect all of them.
    Another great show Mike.

    That's pretty cool that he gave you that copy of X-Men Adventures 1 for a giveaway. I have the first two issues of that run, and they're awesome (just like the animated series). And you have to love Voltron. I don't think I've ever read any of The Creeper, but I'll be keeping an eye out now. Great video, Mike!

    Cool Cliff Con, great venue. Does that con happen in the winter months as well? Just got my first comic books after a fifty two year pause. It’s much harder buying comic books these days, being a little older. 😅

    Good evening Michael
    A great show once more, Don't beat yourself up over not being able to be in two places at once! Everybody got a great exposure. And I sure look forward to the Cliffcon videos each month. Everybody is having fun! Glad you got the Beware the Creeper, it will look great displayed with your Dark(Gothic) DC and Voltron, great memories there, watching the cartoons with the boys. I actually found my son's figure, very similar to yours so I will have to see if I can find a Voltron comic as well. I look forward to future video on the 80s/90s cartoon. So great work you have earnt your True Blue Legend status.
    Cheers Al The Goldkeyfourcolorkidownunda

    That X-Men book is a good find for five dollars. Love getting big books in lower grades. Got a Spectacular Spider-Man 101 in what would definitely be on the lower end of a mid-grade at the Concord comic show a few months back. Fully intact, a few spine ticks and some slight yellowing (not too much) so the whites aren't as crisp on the cover, but it's passable until I can upgrade. Can't be mad for 10 bucks though. Worth doing when you can. Also, love that Creeper book!

    I read that small towns in MA were one of Marvel’s test areas for 30 cent and 35 cent price variants. Do you ever look specifically for these valuable price variants in dollar bins? (That might make a good TH-cam if you haven’t done one already.)

    • @lunchmoneycomics
      @lunchmoneycomics  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do look but have never seen one (as far as I know). I need to brush up on exactly what to look for but every time I find a 35 cent book and look it up... it's just a normal 35 comic lol
