Thanks for great review. I have decided to purchase Rotel RAS-5000 but I have to match floor stand speakers. Question, are the good match with Bowers & Wilkins 703 S3? I am afraid with this combination B&W 703 S3 will be too much on top end and that not will be pleasent for music leasning. I have to decide between Sonus Faber Lumina V Amator and B&W 703 s3. Please let me know what will be your opinion since you had tray combination B&W 703 S3 and Rotel RAS-5000.
Hey, in the review you write that the RAS5000 has a bypass mode for home theater (so that it can work with the pre-amp from the receiver), I haven't found anything in the manual that says something like that, where does this idea come from?
Preouts = A volume controlled output, generally using RCA outs, instead of a full line level output. You can use it for a different amp, Powered Speakers, or Recorder, etc.
Hi. Id love your thoughts on this Rotel vs the Maranta 40n. I have B/W 705 S3 speakers and currently using the 40n. Would it be worth it for me to change it to Rotel OR keep the 40n and just add a small sub like the svs micro3000?
@@homecinemaking397 well id have to buy it and try it at my house. If it doesnt work i can return it. So your saying forget adding the svs micro 3000 and instead switch out to the Rotel. I really want to hear more of a fuller sound and depth. If you say that the Rotel will do that then I will definitely get one to try it out.
@@youssefhamidi8152 the Rotel is definitely better and will bring out more bass but this is also room dependant. The svs will give you more down low but will not change any other then bass down low. The Rotel wil over all give you a more punchy and dynamic sound.
I love your videos. You transmit emotion in a very real way! I have a question about this impressive Rotel; In the specifications I only find the power in 4 ohms (2x 220W). Does this mean that it is not compatible with normal 8 ohm speakers? I guess then the power will drop by approximately half, right? Greetings from Barcelona! 😉👌
@@homecinemaking397That's good to hear. My only disadvantage on this one is the fact that it has no phono, but I believe I could live with external phono preamp as I do right now. I am looking for new Amplifier in place of my Rotel RX304 which is dying slowly and works with Wiim Pro Plus for networking + CD transport connected to Wiim via optical. I was considering Marantz 40n, Yamaha AS-1200, Yamaha R-N2000A, Technics SU-G700MK2 and Rotel RA-1572. And now there is RAS-5000 which combines what I really need. Do you have any opinion on any of above compared to RAS-5000?
@@pistopitpit try demo both it you can. The Rotel has a more powerful and open sound. The Marantz is a bit more laid back. What speakers are you going to drive?
@@homecinemaking397 thank you. The speakers will be KEF R3 Meta. They have 87db sensitivity and 4ohm impedance. I would love to demo these amplifiers but I don’t have such option.
Thanks for the video. I have Rotel separates with 200 WPC amp. Look beautiful and sound great. Love Rotel equipment.
I have the 702 signatures and bass is always lacking regardless of how much power the amp has. They need to be EQ'd to shine
Rotel RA-1592 mkII vs Rotel RAS-5000? Which sound best with digital connection?
@@tessie4204 i would say RAS-5000👍

I have actually used the RAS5000 on the BW 703 S3 and its a great combo👌

No it has pre-outs so you can add a bigger amp if needed.

Any new subwoofer review coming up soon?
Yes two coming
Does it affect the sound to have the Polk's raised off the floor? Particularly considering they have a downward firing speaker.
Maybe a bit more solid in the bass. But i mostly did it so our domestic can clean and not damage the speakers.

Thank you very much👌 it will be compatible, i guess they use the 4ohm rating for a higher spec sheet🤷♂️ half im not sure but it will be less.

where does a cd player and phono connect to? Would I need a pre amp for phono?
You can tell the bass was strong because camera starts shaking 😄
What's the name of the second song? Thanks. :)
How does it compare to the Marantz?
The 40n? Much better in my opinion👌
