I appreciate this guide. I wanted to play TruckersMP without it reverting all my modded trucks to vanilla and breaking my save, so this allowed me to have a separate vanilla save and modded save so that my stuff doesn't break anymore.
Exactly what I was looking for - I wanted to create a new profile where I didn't have to re-define all the button uses again. I've been playing since Arizona was released...over 9,200hrs of playtime ago...LOL. I've got a Logitech G29 wheel & pedals - Logitech G Force shifter - Logitech G810 Keyboard & a Redragon 1/2 Keyboard with dedicated map key - TrackIR head motion detecter - LG UltraGear 45" Ultra-Wide Monitor - Klipsch THX speakers w/ sub, all on a self-built 48" gaming table. Do I have a problem?
Im not finding the folder that supposed to be in the Documents folder. I have the original folder i saved from before i reinstalled windows. on this install (which i want to delete and replace with my original files) i think I forgot to uncheck steam cloud so i went back to edit profile and unchecked steam cloud as well as the setting in steam and saved the game but still no ATS folder in the documents folder...
First, thanks and hello from the US - I am a new follower now, sorry this question is so late. My question is - Say I copy a profile - I now know how I can do that, but, won't I also be copying the 'problem' so-to-speak to my new one? In other words, if I have a problem mod loaded, and copy the profile, won't I have then a copied profile that is also a problem? Thanks for any help!
Hi, thanks for the question. Yes you are correct, if you have any problems with the profile you are coping the problems will be copied. Better off coping a profile with no issues.
Thank you for this its really helpful. I had a question if I make multiple profiles with the mods from the original copied profiles can I change the new profile mods to be different like promods or different trucks or vanilla profiles or big map combos that won't work because you know some trucks amd other mods cant work in the same profiles. By doing this will it corrupt the new profiles I copied?
Hi, simple answer is yes you can. Just sell the trucks &/or trailers in the new copied profile and then deactivate the mods just like normal. As for maps, if it's an add on map no problem. If it's a standalone map this method won't work, because the map mod normally has to be activated before starting a new profile. Hope that answers your questions.
@@huntzthehack thank you so much for thr reply back I appreciate it. I'm definitely going to try this method out hopefully I'm able to figure it out. Thanks again for all your help and great videos 😁🙌🏽
You must not have checked the Steam Cloud box on your profile as directed in the video. Sorry to hear your save got deleted, hopefully your other save was still good.
@@huntzthehack I tried to create another profile using the method you showed, but it didn't work right. I'm sure I chose the wrong file to make a copy of but have lost current Profile now completely. Will have to start all over from $0. The coping of the file worked fine, just chose the wrong file to copy, but it had the latest date and time in that Profile folder. Thank you though for the video as it does show much.
@@huntzthehack great thank you sir! I started a new, blank profile, and went through the tedious task of getting it to the point I could finally buy a truck, but still no mods. So I would like to copy that one to create others, so I don’t have to go through that again. I will use your same method to do that one too! Thanks!!

It worked at first but then I had a box come to load from steam or to load from local disk. I hit steam and lost my original profile

my folder is a lot different. theres no folder with profiles etc in there.
Hi Lucas, all I can say is that you maybe not looking in the correct folder location.

If I created a ‘new’ profile from scratch, can I also use this method to copy that profile as well? Or will this only work on the main profile?
Hi, yes you can use a new profile. Any existing profile can be used. Thanks
